Description "Mr. Amadeaus!" the pink haired feline mewled as he ran into the main office of Dragon's Aery. "A letter has arrived, inviting our Nordanners to a dragon hunt!"

The shapechanger looked up from his paperwork. "Oh really? Sounds interesting. Think you can take on a dragon?" he asked, raising one white eyebrow.

"I did before. At NorthEast Stables." he said, puffing his chest out.

Amadeaus chuckled. "Yes, and if I remember correctly, you nearly wet your pants. That dragon was chained. This one will not. It will be a fight to live." he said. "Besides, who would you be taking?" he asked, folding his arms.

"Well..." Simone looked deep in thought. "Charissma, since she's had contact with dragons.... Simba, he's been itchin to get out..... BloodAngel has proven himself in training to be fearless.... And...." he started to think.

"I will come... with Shadowmere." came a cold voice from the shadows as they formed the silverhaired malaugrym, Secriolth.

"Oh, back from the Forest?" Amadeaus asked.

"Yes. And Shadowmere is quite bored. Shall be fun." he mused.

Amadeaus sighed. "Very well. Get their dragon tack, and get them loaded to go. Come back safe." he said as he signed the letter with the horses and the two handlers and sent it off.

Simone bounced in the saddle, excited as hell to be out actually hunting a dragon. Shadowmere and BloodAngel flew overhead. It was sundown, and the skies were getting progressively darker. "Any sign of the beast?" he called up.

"No, none. This monster is crafty." the shadowlord said from his perch on the black gelding. The horses were getting more excited, they could smell the beast, they knew it was there. Lighting flashed and thunder rumbled, yet the rain hadn't quite started.

"I hope we find him and get the token before the rain starts...." the feline grumbled.

A large bolt hit the earth, before them. The ground split to reveal gold and treasures beneath. Just then, the horses were shaken as a massive earthquake hit. "It's not an earthquake!" Secriolth called over the din of the storm. Just then, the ground cracked and a deep roar was heard, echoed twice.

"Oh... shit..." was all Simone could mumble before the massive dragon emerged from his hidden hidey hole. A deep red head rose up and blasted at BloodAngel, who deftly dodged the fireball. Simba let out a loud call as he turned to run away from the dripping acid of a second head, and the clacking of jaws was heard as the third head barely missed Shadowmere, who promptly pounded the snout with his hard hooves. His massive wings flapped to keep him stable, hiding Secriolth from view. The dragon's large green claw pounded down, something glistening from underneath it. It was a trophy of some sort, but not what they had come for. Charissma reared up, fearless. "Alright girl, we've trained for this... go." he said, and started the charge.

Simba turned and charged the acid spewing head, managing to dodge the lethal spit. He ran underneath and reared up, managing to hit the head with the sharp spikes on the front of his leg guards. The infuriated dragon spun his red head down to fire at the tabby stallion, but was caught off guard by a dodging BloodAngel. The bloodsplash stallion hit the red upside it's sensitive jaw, then hurried to get out of the way. Shadowmere and Secriolth were able to keep the green head, whose breath weapon was yet unknown, occupied. The red and black gelding wanted nothing more than to take it head on, but was smart enough to know it was a futile effort to do so. Charissma and Simone ran alongside the beast, the feline pulling out a sword and smacking it. He got a lucky shot and nailed a massive claw causing the three headed monster to rear up and screech. He slammed down, trying to hit the much smaller and more agile Nordanner team.

"Just how much more do we have to go?!" the feline growled as he kept it up. He could tell, they were all getting tired, and the dragon just didn't seem to give up. A bloodcurdling sound echoed as the red unleashed a fireball, and caught BloodAngel by the wing, causing him to go down. "SHIT!" he said as he turned Charissma around to go tend to the fallen horse, not sure if he was alright. They got to the stallion's side and were surprised to see him on all four feet, shaking himself off, his wing still smoking. Simone pulled out a special healing salve and hurriedly put it on the horse.

"Good boy, go hide." he said firmly. BloodAngel shook his head and charged back into the fray. "Mr. Amadeaus is gonna KILL me if any of you die!" he groaned as he took off after the stallion. That's when the green head opened its mouth. A noxious green gas spewed out. The two that had wings landed and started to flap them to make the gas blow away.

Secriolth covered his nose and mouth. "Acidic sleeping gas!" he said as he directed them away. Thankfully, the nasty attack seemed to have a long recharge.

The battle raged, rain started to pour, and wounds were given and tended to before the dragon finally lowered his claws and his heads. The horses and riders were beaten, and sore, but alive. "YOU MAY PASS." he said, all three heads speaking at the same time.

Simone, panting, got off of Charissma and started inside the dragon's lair, leading the sweaty and panting horse inside to find the token. The true extent of the injuries to the six from Dragon's Aery were as of yet unknown......

OMG guys, FINALLY this MASSIVE piece is done.... I have to say I've outdone myself on this one. 4 horses, 1 rider visible and a massive three headed dragon. ~.~

Show: Annual Dragon Hunt 2013 + Dragon Design Contest!Welcome to the first annual Summer Dragon Hunt! Grab your Nordanners and get ready to chase some dragons around. But wait--Aleria’s dragons haven’t been designed yet. What is this madness?! How can we have a dragon hunt with no dragons? A dragonless hunt sounds much less fun. Unless you guys would rather hunt cucumbers, of course. ...No? Well then, read on!
Instead of holding a separate dragon design contest for the dragons of the Nordanner’s new homeland, this show will be a two-in-one: you will get to design your own dragon to hunt! The dragon(s) we like best will then be chosen to be the official dragons of Aleria, and will be used in dragon hunt events going forward. More information and rules on this contest are below.

It was clear that dragons had made the journey over the bridge with them. However, no one had even caught a glimpse of one in the months they had settled down and began new lives. Even thrillseekers on the quietest of Nordanners had yet to see

Dragon:

The Multi-Headed Mountain Dragon

The Mountain Dragon is quite possibly one of the most dangerous dragons of all. Smaller ones are no issue, but when they've lived long enough, they are gifted with even more power. The oldest of them has upwards of 5 heads, each with different abilities and looks. Typically, three heads are the most common of the older ones. The mountain dragon can have a variety of looks and attacks, though fire breathing and acid spitting are the most common.

Younger mountain dragons have only one head to two heads, the others grow in later due to magickal ability. These can be tamed, if raised from an egg. They age quickly to a certain point, then their growth slows. A baby Mountain dragon is around the size of a large dog, and they will double, if not triple, in size every year for 20 years. After that, they slow down in their growth. They are fiercely loyal to those that can tame it or befriend it.

They are vicious fighters, and very territorial. To fight one usually means certain death. They are usually hunted as a final test or test of strength due to their sheer size and power. It takes a lot to bring one of these beasties down. Their hoard, however, is second to none. Gold and jewels, both refined and raw, dominate the mountain dragon's lair. Art and books are rare, except in the case of statues and jewelry. They also tend to collect weapons and armor, usually of those that they've killed in the past.

Tools used: Sai and Photoshop, ONE reference looked at just for perspective of the back view of Charissma, 300+ layers in total, 3+ days of work.
