Youre avatar!
I thought t was a rusty metal suitcase (?) in which you were travelling to see U2 with. SO I decided to investigate further.

I should insert some witty 'road less travelled' comment here, but I cant think of anything clever enough to say.

This is gr8! I try to use 3dsmax when I can but this seems much neater and smoother is that jus cause its maya? or do u know some good tricks? Ive been experimenting with textures but all this uvwmap stuff is aweful! is that just pocedural textures? or a combo I guess?

This could be achived with any high end 3d app. It was done useing UVmaps.

I'ven't the faintest of a clue as to what the object is exactly, or what it's purpose is, but I must say that it is done quite well. The rust it incredible, the textures, and colors amazing. Now I'ven't anything serious to complain about, this very well done, the only realt thing that maybe could've been done, was maybe like how with the lite reflection the object has on the ground, maybe you could've done that with the backside of the object, make it look as if it were up against a wall, rather then in a neverending sea of white, but hey I can't complain, it's wonderful as is, I could never do something as good!

Thats probobly the longest comment I've ever gotten.
The point of this work was a study of realistic textureing. The object itsself is just something to hang textures on, I probobly could take it further but I'm done with it for now. Thanks for the comment.

Well let me just say, I like to give long comments; makes me feel special, heh. But seriously, the realism of your textures, again absolutely wonderful, The object looks real with texturizing you've done to it.So to break it down:
Texturing: Very realisitic - Superb
Object: Eh, I don't know what it is if anything, besides what you said, but it's suits the deed well of hanging textures on it for the textures hung on it are well, again, superb.
In closing it's getting late, so I must be going now. . .
P.S. If you like a little bit of poetry now and then look at my gallery,

I really would like to return the favor but poetry is something I just don't get. So I'll say thanks again and think on anther way.

Well you needn't worry about, I just give comments when I can, I understand if I don't get any in return. For example I understand not everyone can sit down and enjoy poetry, so I understand your disposition, so yea, maybe if you know someone who likes poetry you can send them to my gallery, otherwise, I wouldn't worry about it's all good, just keep up the good work!

I love these kind of "Widgets", you know they do something... just not sure what. I like the texturing, and the modeling. The lighting is great too.

wow very cool, i really like the texture. How easy is to work with maya? It is difficult to learn?
