Description
This one has been in the works for some time. Itβs proved to be one of those things that never seem to be finished. Even now Iβm not entirely happy with it.Weighing in at a little over 400,000 polygons not including the NURBS objects, of which there are many, this was one of the heaviest scenes I've worked on for a while. Because it was so heavy rendering it proved difficult, it ended up being rendered in 33 layers over 4 days.

It's very touching how the "Sentinel" is reading to the lil' alien bots from an old fashioned human book.

it would look better if it did not have all of those small dots and that hidden text on the image, but nice work though.

Thats the watermark and it should be invisble. It sometimes shows through on LCD screens.

Far out! 4 days! I hope you've got two computers, I'd hate to not be able to do anything for that long. I tell you what, the wait (in my opinion) was worth it. Great render. Almost makes me think of what the AI in the matrix would do in their spare time.

Awesome job! The larger robots in the back remind me of the sentinels from The Matrix (basically just the eyes). I just rendered a scene with over 500,000 polygons at 2k resolution with Mental Ray and OMFG... was a pain in the ass. I just ended up rendering small regions at a time over 2 hours. Anyway, one crit: your geometry sort of gets lost because of the dark brown textures on the big robots. Maybe make it lighter? lol nevermind, i'm sure you're not gonna re-render the whole friggin thing just to fix one color

Love the idea, but can't say I love the finish. But yeah i probably wouldn't even be able to load that into my pc, let alone model it.
Anyway great work, hope to see the finished result soon, seems promising.
