!!! FULL VIEW PLEASE!!!!!Really felt like cg-ing something lately and so this is the result.
This is a fanart of the matured version of Yahiko Myoujin from the Rurouni Kenshin manga.
Yahiko is considered to be a favorite character of mine from the series. Despite being a small kid most of the time, he still kicks ass even though the odds are against him.
His character developtment in the manga was pretty cool. From small brat to badass.
The matured Yahiko is known for stopping swords empty handedly and without much effort (as shown in my deviation).
The sketch took me about an hour plus with pencil
Coloring took me hours with Photoshop.. with mouse
Overall, I'm satisfied with the CG but yeah.. flaws are still visible. The sword's coloring, especially.

never throw a sword unless you are very skilled to catch also make sure to find out if the anime or manga has comedy in it. great love the drawing and being watching the anime again on youtube.

am i the only one to notice that teen yahiko is essentially Ichigo kurosaki? they share the same general aditude and demenor, even being disintresred in the girl that obviously likes him.

I'm in love. It's only too bad we don't get to see more of Yahiko as a young man at the end of the story.
I often wonder how callused his hands must be from catching all those sharp blades.
