About three hours. I do it all by mouse.
The complexity is a trick as such. Most of the work is generating a pallet of parts to be layered and replicated and many of those parts use mirroring or common components to assist rapid generation. This does suit military subjects buut it still makes me feel a little charlatan like. In fact there are only 17 or 18 distinct "parts" that are replicated to fill the hull form which I then finish off and detail.

I like it. Utilitarian but not primitive. I'm guessing its similar to a battleplate?
