Take a look at the picture on the left. Now look at the picture on the right. Honey was finalized in the HD Re-release of Sonic the Fighters that was released for Playstation Network and Xbox Live in October 2012. She was scrapped in 1996, but you could hack to find her player model in the game in Sonic Gems Collection. I was wondering why SEGA's recent titles were either moderately decent or slightly terrible. :T I finally have my answer. THEY WERE TRYING TO FINALIZE HONEY THE WHOLE TIME!!! XD That must be why I thought some of the Sonic titles released recently were either moderately good or half-ass efforts to appeal to the fans. Well I feel kinda dumb not knowing they were secretly working on her development this whole time since roughly 7 years ago. XD

I hope Honey makes a return to the canon after this! :3 She's missed out on a lot for a whole generation and I think we'd all like to see her in action in future game releases! :T

Personally, I can die happy knowing they possibly unscrapped her at last. Now if only Rocket Metal could return to the canon, as well as Tiara Boobowski from Sonic Xtreme. SEGA's finally giving the fans quite the heart attack-inducing surprises from unexpected places! I hope we all get more surprises like this in the future from them.
