Deszaras/Deathsaurus from the Victory manga, the Destron's(Decepticon's) Emperor of Destruction intent on destroying Earth for its energy......and yet, who is oddly fond of human children (no, not 'that' kind of fond!) and is an absolutely loving HUSBAND. Yep, that's his mate, Esmeryl/Esmeral.
First time drawing these two and I can't find a decent reference of them, especially Esmeryl, whom legs I have to use my crappy creativity to draw. Been browsing the internets for arts/fanfics of these two but found VERY few of them. Anyone? Links please?

I recently had this idea of an AU where Deathsaurus was a decepticon under the command of Galvatron who once admired his former self Megatron, he was married and both found Solon and adopted him in secret, which leader Galavtron discovers and becomes infuriated.
In this AU Deathsaurus I imagine took a look at both sides, Optimus and Megatron, and while mostly admired Megatron, agreed with Optimus's view on humans, they are worth defending.
To him, Cobra was no different than The Decepticons of earth, thus he believed humans themselves were not inferior and even showed compassion to few
When Galvatron finds out he is PISSED and threats to kill both wife and foster son which then suprisingly Soundwave and Shockwave come to their aid, they cant help but agree with the Deathsaurus family that the Megatron they knew was gone. That they were they only ones who could successfully lead in Megatron's place
They all are exiled, in which Deathsaurus plans a conspiracy to kill and thus overthrow Galvatron and take command

Well I know a book but I am not sure is Esmeryl is in the show... but there is the THE COMPLETE ARK which is a book full of animation models for G1. I mean, all the way to Battlestars.

Ow wow, someone drew Esmeral And Deszaras? I only know of two other on deviantart who have done so that's like, a 50% increase in people drawing this couple!
I love this drawing. Great detail and posing, as usual, and your take on her leg design is sweet. They kinda remind me of Elita One's - are they based on hers or is the similarity a coincidence?
The only "complaint" I have is that, as with almost all your work I have seen, you lay a lot of emphasize, much moreso than needed, on size differences. This is why I don't like your Meg/Ss art, but for Des/Es it is arguably correct. Only, because of your "seme/uke"-tendency, it doesn't stop me from being creeped out anyway this time too.
Heh, I always thought it was funny how in the manga Deszaras was a loving husband and a good father, but not at the same time. I mean, if Esmeral and the others had been living all that time in the Planet-Destroying Fortress, how come Solon apparently didn't know about any of them, since he at no point prevented his Victory colleagues that they shouldn't destroy the fortress. It were Leozack and Deszaras who had to reveal the Decepticon "civilians" to the Autobots. So, either Solon didn't know of Esmeral or he wanted her dead, and either way, this makes Deszaras the center of a really weird non-family.

Actually, this is my first time drawing femmes so I got myself a picture with all the Autobot femmes in it to study how their legs look like - and I was like 'oh, so, they're just human-curved legs with random lines as plating?'. I just give it a go, put a bit of high hills - and that's how they came out

I've been thinking about that too - why Deszaras did not reveal the existences of Destron cavillians in his fortress or Solon would have said that to Star Saber the very first time he defected to Cybertron. I'm more inclined towards Solon being not aware of them (it's sad to think that Solon loved his foster 'father' but hated his wife)...as to the 'why', I have absolutely no idea. And yes, being weird is what usually draws me to certain characters

I know, despite being canon, there are just too few arts of them and I was like 'Why??? Aren't they cute together???'. So I decide that I should draw them. Unfortunately, I can't colour, digitally or traditionally. I suck at it - though if anyone wants to take a shot, it's fine by me. Thanks for the comment!

I don't see why Decepticons can't be cute or loving. After all, they are sentient beings - albeit with more streak of violence than the Autobots did.

He did, but only in the manga. He also admitted of liking children in there, which is very cute, but I still like his attitude in the cartoons...but I like his manga characteristics.

Wow, I am not really aware of who these characters are and what story line they derive from, but they are beautifully drawn. I love her slender elegance as opposed to his more extreme size. This is actually quite romantic and very much speaks about the way I feel Fauxstrip fits with Ratchet. these are Cannon Characters so I won't compare anything I come up with to them, its just the "mate" pose is passionate like the way I view my OC with a cannon and I think you did a wonderful job!

They are characters from the Victory portion of the G1 continuity (sort of like the Japanese version of 'what happens after Vector Sigma attempted to bring Cybertron back to Golden Age but failed'). The mech and femme is Deszaras/Deathsaurus ([link] ) and Esmeryl/Esmeral ([link] ). I'm not very familiar either with the Victory portion, only that the hero is Star Saber and the villain Deszaras. The only reason I bother with it is because of the latter, but the manga is VERY cheesy so you can guess what the artists would do to villains - make them pathetic. But it was only in the manga that he has a mate and admitted to loving kids despite his hatred for general human beings. He even has an adopted human son named Solon Kitakaze.
There are no exact/reliable reference of their sizes and although I originally intend to draw them about the same height, somehow I end up drawing Esmeryl being a lot smaller *coughsizedifferentkinkcough*. There was actually no kissing/touching/other-fluffy-stuffs involving them in the manga (heck, there's not even a panel when they're depicted together!), but if you count her greeting "Darling! You look as handsome as ever!" to Deszaras upon coming from battle, then you just can't get off the image of them being romantic/tender/loving/cute with each other.

Ah, but Ratchet, while not being the Emperor of Destruction, is just as caring as Deszaras when being with his love interest, so I think the comparison works nevertheless.

LOL, well you felt compelled to tell me about them. Which is okay, you learn something new every day! And if you couldn't get from that line that they were mates, well... I wouldn't just say that to someone I didn't exactly fancy. Its like seeing Elita-1 kiss Optimus (still a little weirded out about that) before they became Elita and Optimus. I don't remember what her name was before she was changed. but yeah, that said they were in 'together' mode.

I am imagining, since he (Ratchet) is my fave, or he leads by a chevron horn, I am not sure how I can put one over the other but, if I had to say any of them were my favorite, it would be Ratchet, that he is caring, capable of being romantic and passionate. Why wouldn't he be, he is no different from the rest except what his function makes of him.

LOL I know, I tend to get lengthy with my explanation. I spent too much time browsing about Deszaras, it isn't that there's so little about him, it's just that his mate is so...rarely seen. Shame about that. And oh, she admitted outright to the Autobots (Cybertron in the cartoon) that "I am Deathsaurus's wife." Only blind people won't see their relationship. And Elita-1 is....uh...Ariel, I think.

And I think, it's especially because of his prefession that he's so caring. He's caring enough, sure, but being someone whose life people depends on, it'll motivate you to become even more so.

Oh, what I meant by cheveron horn... I think I was talkng about the very tip of it, not the entire thing... you know how you hear something won by the "skin of their teeth" ? well that was what I meant, he is only my favorite by the "skin of his teeth" or "the tip of his chevron horn" because I identify with him more.
