Hi Excaite, this is a really beautiful water color painting.
The color scheme is very well chosen I feel and gives me as the viewer a very lighthearted feeling of spring.
The background color is excellent at unifying the color harmony of the entire painting.
It has very good track vision and moves in a clockwise position that leads the viewer back to the bird on the left and to re- examine the entire painting as a whole unit as well as the individual objects. Great use of organizing and placement of the individual elements in the painting to keep the viewers attention from straying outside the painting
I feel the birds anatomy are very well done. The paint strokes you used for the feathers gives them great texture, softness and a feeling of lightness and realism.
The placement of the berries and branches give great balance to the whole composition, making all the elements in your painting become one focal point yet still remain individual for the viewer to examine. fantastic work on this.
I think you have used all the properties associated with water color painting to their best advantage. It has the translucent effect that makes water colors so charming and appealing.
I can honestly tell you I think you have done a wonderful job on this painting and I see not one thing that I would suggest should be changed in the actual painting, Except to make your signature just a tiny bit smaller as it very slightly draws the eye away from the painting temporarily.( Very minor observation . lol) Beautiful work on this Painting.

Yes, I used brush to make the signature and since it is a small format it was difficult to make it smaller. And you are right it should be smaller. I guess I will use a pen liner for my signature next time. Thanks for pointing that out.

Sometimes I worry a lot that I don't always make the right observations and statements.
I just hope I didn't sound too nit picky on the signature thing. That's so very minor a thing in comparison to the beautiful work you did on the painting itself.
. It's the only thing I could find to suggest on this excellent painting.lol
I've learned a valuable lesson from this though. To look and see if the size of the painting or drawing surface is mention in the description.
I never took that into consideration before in doing my critiques. I just learned a great lesson from you

Very beautiful, I think this is nicely painted, the detail of the birds is great.
I like the Chinese water colour vibe to the background.
