About the improvement. The upper left part of lips looks a bit flat and perhaps less shade in the lower part is required too. The right part of the face misses some shade from the hair, more dark strokes would do the trick. And the lowest part of the body looks cut, I'd say it a little too much shadow, bring up some lights on the shoulder. But in general, a job very well done, I like it a lot

I think you're doing pretty great on the whole. You've got the right idea about contrast and the values look right (though I must admit I'm no great expert on this). Perhaps the hair could be fine-tuned a bit with a different brush (because it looks like you've got the tonal range right, but maybe not quite the texture) but other than that you're a lot further along in digital painting than I am! Keep it up!

It's cool, but the top right part of her lip looks too small considering it's nearer to the viewer.
