interesting work. Love how the pointy darkness is crushing the pretty forest.

that bird makes all the difference. We now understand the clash of cultures, the concept you are trying to portray.
well, i do at least.
By having that bird there, i can see the quiet peace of nature and how it is to be affected by the war. Great compositional choices made!

I love how all of your recent pieces have stories behind them, and they're not just renders with some flashy brushing over them. They've so much depth, and they're their own little scenes. Amazing work.

Was one of my favorites from the pack, love the colors, but out of everything your brushing is amazing.

i like the departure into change for you, as the artist. both with your descriptions and the inclusion (a first for you i think) of including to such a degree the natural world. bringing your 'creations' into the world that we can identify with is a drastic new dimension to see them in; scale, power, energy.. all are overhalued.
i feel like ducking down as i look at this, its all coming crashing down, and there is nowhere to run, nothing to do but watch the awesome destruction and hope that from the barren wastleland, new life will arise.
i am reminded of aldous huxley's 'brave new world' and greg bear's 'forge of god'.
beautifully emotive, brave choice to use one tonality to the scene but it has paid off in giving the allusion over an overwhelming, horizon-to-horizon event, the whimsical inclusion of the bird flying speaks a thousand different things to me.
wonderful.
