Description For the second round of 's contest. This time the theme was different cultures and mythology, both of which I love x3 I got France, which I also love and have a bit of good knowledge about ( I also got to go over in a short school program and took 4 years of French in highschool x3)

I decided to use the Loup Garou to represent France. The Loup Garou is a man (or woman) who can change into a wolf at will and retains all their intelligence when they do so. They don't need a full moon to transform, but I put it in there for dramatic effect x3 and to counter balance the sun.

The reason I used this creature is because, in my personal experience with France as well as the history I know of it, France is a very romanticized nation. It is know for it's art, language, and class, (sometimes taken a little too far with the baguette eating, wine sipping, beret wearing people who sit in cafes all day, are rude, and smoke cigarettes stereotype>>; stereotypes are bad kids...), but France also has a very powerful, outspoken side to them and they stand up for their ideas. Just look through French history to see how much of a badass they are. They have a very long bloody history, but still retain they grace and beauty. Just like the Loup Garou, who at will can change from one realm to the other and back again.

I'm pretty happy with how this came out. I wanted to do maybe alittle more with the transformation/wolf side, but the legend is pretty clear cut, so I used the concept to France more then an artistic representation. Given the time I worked on it, very satisfied

Good luck everyone, and thanks for looking.
