it's a game setting for dungeons and dragons what translates the standard 'fantasy spells and swords' into a post apocalyptic steam punk setting where the only way to fight the giant lunar alien invaders is with steam powered giant robots. Hencs, dragon, (as in dungeons and dragons) Mech, (the gaint steam mechs)

if i had to related it to anything i would say it's like a cross between lord of the rings, fallout, girl genus (very good web comic) and evangelion or Gundam.

Sounds interesting! Is it a board game? cause it sounds like it's one.
I'm a big fan of all robot/mech things and of the Fallout series so I should like it, haha.

it's a role playing game, it just a diffrent setting for the dungeon and dragon rule book. If your interested i recommend first you look up what role playing games are, then look into how dungeon and dragon rules does things (it's a fairly popular game set though so they have to be doing somthing right.) then hunt up a Dragonmech book via internet.

I know what role playing games are! I used to play Vampire and I have lots of friends who have played the LoTR, D&D and other games.
But personally I like boardgames more. Been dying to play Super Dungeon Explorer but it's too expensive!

(Bows) sorry if i sounded condensing them, the nature of your question about if it's a board game lead me to think, given how well known D&D is, that you did not know what a table top RPG was and I am sorry.

you like board games a lot? you consider looking to the game Blood bowl? it plays JUST like the table top board game or so I'm told.

I've played other Games Workshop games but never played Blood Bowl. This is not the first time I hear it's a great game so maybe i should give it a try.
I used to play Warhammer Fantasy a lot, but now I only play 40k from time to time with my girl (she has Necrons and I have an army of Tyranids, another of Chaos and my favorite: Death Korps of Krieg)

Death Korps? with the forge world models? man i'm jealous. I play 40k my self, but use space marines, Knight Inductor (a 4 chan space marine chapter), small force at the moment, and it's buiding very slowly (tierd of lootas one shooting whole squads so i'm getting land raiders, I keep getting that nasty feeling I'm on the road to land raider spam or some kind "black Templar but with bolters" thing, but meh, I was always going to be mech heavy.

I don't see any models in you gallery, you don't have photos of them up? or am i just blind and can't find them? (that happens a lot with me)

Oh yeah I have the FW DKK but mines are "bootlegs" I bought on Taobao. They are made of resin as the originals and other than a few imperfections (nothing that you can't fix) they look quite like the FW ones, and are WAY cheaper.
I love Fallout and everything with post-apocalyptic/wasteland settings so I wanted to have an army like this so bad.

They recently changed the Imperial Guard's name to Astra Militarum, by the way. I kinda like it.

And oh I don't share pics of my models here, I try to keep my hobbies separated from my job.

acutally if you wanted a fallout themed army then the Savlar chem dogs might have worked better, though not really 'post apocalyptic' like Kreig, there much less professional looking and much closer to a army of raiders then Krieg guys. Taobao huh? i'll have to look them up if it worked for you.

Shame about not being able to see your models though, i'd bed that they would look awesome. you have images on any of the 40k fourms? (heresy, bolter and chain sword, ectra) I'd love a look at them.

But man, the Savlar Chem Dogs models are so ugly! the DKK are super neat.
Taobao is fantastic, you should check it out. They have stuff from every army, both GW and FW minis and the prices are just hilarious.

you really need to post them some where people can see them, because those are awesome models! The kriegers slightly more because i like there models more then the nids. the only advice i feel i could give are that the warriors (note: nice name for you hive fleet) could use a plug of green stuff in there empty middle shoulders.

problem i have with Taobao is that it's in Chinese, if i was to use it I would not know if i'm missing a important chunk of information about, something or not.

Oh but there are middle men who buy the stuff for you and charge a low % for doing so! I used a website called YOYBUY. They act like middlemen/agents, you should check it out, it's totally safe.
