Description
I am working on my first kiriban for who has asked me to illustrate her new chapter of her fanfiction called "The Last Secret of Dumbledore". As she has not submitted it yet I am not entitled to describe the scene she asked me to paint, but I can tell you it is a real challenge, I have many ideas. I show you some watercolour pieces from my sketchbook now how the work is going on

the nose! Snapes nose looks so perfect and it's so tender. I love how in the last panel Snape looks pained and Lily reassuring him.

I've always wanted to do a piece where Snape is being comforted. These are inspiring - very soulful without becoming *overly* sentimental. That would be the hardest part for me, and you've achieved a good balance here. Plus these are a pleasure to look at, especially the right panel. And where his hand is to his face. I love the line you used for his brow, shading down to the hand

My point of view has changed a lot since the last (damn) HP book, now I have an almost physical need to see him being comforted, I have to admit, my heart is still bleeding. I think I need comfort more

One day I would like to address his grief and death; not now though.

why does he have to suffer? what is the reason? redemption?

but what is the lecture, what all his suffer (many times in vain...) tell us? did he reach anything? did his life have at least a ray of light, hope? his life is totally dark, seems like a one-way-ticket to tragedy.

. . . well . . . you're right about that; he certainly was written that way. However, if you can suspend disbelief for awhile, it's easy to see he transcended that bleak fate in us. What we do with him is just as valid as what his original creator did with him. That's only my opinion; but I do sincerely believe it.

I absolutely must read her story, so far I have only glimpsed into it (=lack of time) but found it very well written. I am looking very forward to doing so..

Trembling on canvas is maybe something reserved for the wizard, not the muggle artist?

I know, I have a growing list of must-read fanfictions for my holiday, too
I thought first to use watercolour pencils, but I am not sure now. you may laugh at me but it depends on the pattern I desing for Lily's dress. I have to admit I cannot resist the digital opportunity to work on miniscule details (for my own joy as noone watches it in that close anyway

No, I can perfectly well understand this "problem", I am (theoretically) also very fond of patterns, textures etc., I just never have the patience or the skills 
Anyway, I am looking so forward to seeing the result and I am getting more and more jealous of this kiriban!!

Vázlatokhoz azért jobb a hagyományos módszer, mert a wacom folyton arra ingerel, hogy zoomoljak, bigyerésszek a részleteken, itt javítsak, ott javítasak, holott az ötletelés-vázlat készítés - nekem - pont nem ez, ez egy zsákutca, megrekedsz egy ötletnél. Inkább vázlatfüzet, 1 szál ceruza, radír sincs, és hajrá

This is beyond words! But I'll try, anyway: the embrace on the left side is so romantic, with that touch of sadness that epitomizes Sev and Lily's relationship. The right-hand embrace is achingly beautiful - I can only imagine how brilliant it would look in color! Sev looks wearily attractive, while Lily looks fresh and so pretty. I love the deep sorrow, hopelessness, and emotion is Severus's every movement! You have captured his soul here, and Lily's also - quite a feat with just pencils!

I love that embrace, thank you for mentioning! The only problem with it was that their faces are hidden, that is why I started to try other angles
