first of all sorry if things i say seem unclear but english is not my native language so i dont have the perfect conditions to really say what i want to. but i try to express myself as clear as i can^^"
sooo...
i really like this one!
the depth is just awesome. the mist really supports the effect.
i dont know how the brushes you use work but they seem to do their job pretty good.
the structure on the cave's walls are really rocky.they have a rough surface but are also defined.
i love the red light sources and the red glow they emit. also the red lighning on the rocks and the mist looks really good and convincing.
another thing i like is how small the character compared to the whole picture is. this gives the feeling of how unimportant one is compared to the greater things is (in this case the tribe he has to prove his value to)
the water is also really nice. i like the reflections

the only thing i dislike a bit is the lack of the deteil on the creatures in the background. i know..they are far away and covered in mist but i for myself would like to see a little bit more of them

all in all a really well done piece of art!

Oh my. The more I look at the piece, the more I get lost in the cave! (And the more I'd like to explore.)

Fabulous work. I could look at this all day. (:

read description for the rocks

and the water is a mix between a blurry brush with a low flow and some different textures

Ahah, I like how this one has the reds and the other had the blues. I like the blues better though, they seem more calm.

Well done! but, what are the floating things?
And here's your second question:
Approximately how many colors do you use for these (shades)?

Exphrasis In reply to Cephei-N-Ciel [2009-06-11 10:31:04 +0000 UTC]

floating ? huh ?

2 flighyng things are creatures , similar to sting rays.

how many colours ?
Well , one for the shadows , one for the higlights , one for the basic tone , one for the red lights , one for the golden thingy on the character and one for his face

That's why it's Zee test hehehe .
And he's got a rifle. Pretty good one. Problem is they're usually travelling in couples , so that's where it becomes hard. hehe

haha me too .

Specially paintball markers O_O.
I did a head shot between two planks , at a distance of about 50 m .
There was only about 2 cms between the planks. haha

Nice, I don't do paintball though, I'm talking real hunting ..

I did a headshot at a distance of about 250 meters, straight trough the eye.

holy fuck.

Oups sorry. Haha. I don't really like hunting. Hunting in itself seems awesome , but hurting creatures....nah. I just can't =/ .
Good job by the way
what kind of animal was it?

that's okay, I've got no problem with swearing

I hunt for both the thrill, the adrenaline, and the meat (it's so gooood)
it was a seal, it was at Greenland

Wow, I like the depth, the atmosphere, the new texture, the dude and the beacons, the water, the concept, pretty much the entire thing - oh, and the roof.

The creatures lack form, but I'm guessing that's intentional. Very well done, especially for 2 hours.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help

thanks a lot man
glad you like it

it was done on purpose, i wanted them to look like stingrays. Therefor they don't have a lot of details or anything.

My pleasure... and you don't have to thank me every time

I thought so. I just wish I could come up with something more constructive.

It's ok .
It'll come little by little.

Oh ! had my philosophy /english today.
Philosophy was ok .
Sadly , in english i had the word ' stout ' to translate. Didn't know what it meant , i thought it was someone rather err....square shaped. But since the next sentence was ' where did you learn this word ? ' i thought it had to be something else , more slang. I'm stupid. haha

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MoonlitCrescent In reply to Exphrasis [2009-06-11 17:12:26 +0000 UTC]

Yes - but I fear it wont as I'm not really a practicing artist so I wont know what to comment on and so fourth...

Well done with Philosophy, and I'm sure a couple of questions in the English exam won't fail you . It's not called 'stupid' if you don't have the knowledge to answer it, so you aren't stupid. Stout, eh? Into french? I must say that's not the easiest word so you can hardly to have expected to encountered it. To me, stout has two meanings - 1. A type of alcholic drink, and 2. A descriptive word usually used to respectfully describe a short, bulky (but not fat) person (so yes, somewhat "square"), usually with spirit or "guts". I'm not sure how close that meaning is to what you got/needed though. It can almost be used in a slang sense too. DOn't beat yourself up over it on the slightest - many English specking people wouldn't be able to answer that

And if that man isn't in a tribe? What then?

Nice glow!

Exphrasis In reply to Sushimitzu [2009-06-10 18:43:18 +0000 UTC]

he is in a tribe ^^ .

It's some kind of a test. If he manages to hunt one and bring his head back he's accepted , otherwise he's either banned ( if he survives ) or just dies , trying to huunt the creature. Hehe

thanks !
