Description Gideon Sulley, CorpSec Enforcer for Infinity.

Enforcer is one of the few ranks within CorpSec that have explicit authority over Troopers and even Specialists. The role is 2 parts leadership and 1 part Internal Affairs. All corporations will have a minimum of 1 Enforcer - usually many more. Their primary role is to coordinate CorpSec efforts within a jurisdiction, liason between the corporations and the entire CorpSec organization, and make sure that they are handling the needs of whatever corporation they have been assigned to. There is very little oversight in CorpSec, and infractions of rules or performance issues are handled by Enforcers. The degree of authority they have over most CorpSec personnel is almost absolute; while it is frowned upon, an Enforcer can execute a CorpSec member while in the field or during combat conditions in the event of disobedience or anything that could justifiably place the interests of the corporation at risk and requires immediate action.

Enforcers attain their rank by displaying skill, intelligence, and most importantly, loyalty. These days, this usually means loyalty to the company they have been assigned to, as corporate endorsement is almost mandatory to achieve this promotion.

Gideon's first career was in the military; after the most recent war ended, his military actions consisted primarily of handling insurrectionists - those who disliked the way the Terran Protectorate operated or resisted their forced entrance into the Protectorate. From the military he transferred straight into CorpSec. In both careers he has attained positions of leadership, where he emphasized both discipline and loyalty. For those willing to comply he treats well, showing respect and looking out for their interests. In his tenure at Infinity however he has executed a CorpSec member on two separate occasions for "gross insubordination." The first time there were no other witnesses, but on the second occasion a surviving Trooper admits (unofficially, and never within Gideon's earshot) that Gideon killed the man simply for insulting him.

As a CorpSec member with actual military experience, he provides extra training for any CorpSec assigned to Infinity, noticeably increasing their performance (and survival rate). He is also one of the very few who has participated in a campaign against mutants and is still alive. For these and other reasons he has become something of the go-to man for dangerous missions and difficult assignments.

_ _ _

I'm still not thrilled with how Gideon turned out, but he's a key player in the upcoming events in Cybermisfit and I should have had him finished weeks ago. This is his "around the office" outfit; he's somewhat odd because he wears the CorpSec combat skin (you can see it worn by practically any CorpSec combatant I have made or will make) beneath his normal uniform, instead of only wearing it when he is in armor. He has his own combat armor that you will eventually see him in.
