I like the concept and style you choose to use, but there are a couple of things missing that would make that a wonderful painting.First off there is a lack of contrast between the face and the background.Use some vivid contrasting colors on her so she gets the spotlight.I have doubts that this might be the whole picture witch is a bit bad , because the composition is a bit off.The boat is at one side and the face is at the other halfway through the border of the painting. This is not good it leads the viewer's aye away from the composition rather than containing it.The boat stands out well no matter of its position at the end of the horizon.For the boat to look more stable put the horizon higher at least a bit.( I would recommend at least to the top of the boat but that will probably be impossible because of the face.Please add a photo of it in full scale if it is not for a more detailed critique. Best of luck.I may not draw much but I've got the knowledge, you can always ask me for advice :]

I really like this! It seems like she can also be a wind, you know? Like the North Wind, South, etc!
While this is very nicely-made, the colors seem slightly dull. If you really wish to make this stand out, I would use colors that are a liiiiittle lighter in some areas!
Also, you could use the same texture/effect for the upper area, since the first thing I thought was "Is she in the sky?" It seems like she's in the air rather than being in the water.
The boat really stands out, which is good! However, you might want to use different colors for the woman to make her stand out as well!
However, you did a really nice job of creating a flowy view, awesome!

It's such a simple concept with a small pallet of colors but it's the way it's painted, the movement that's captured, and the natural elegance invoked is just breathtaking.

Really cool concept. That bit of turquoise is a nice touch. I like how the sky and water blend together in a very hazy dreamlike manner. It feels like how one imagines a tale that a sea farer tells of his encounters on the high seas.

Absolutely stunning. I love the cool blues and purples of this piece. The transition from the face to the dark boat is really subtle, yet incredibly effect. It creates such a lovely mood
