Hi guys and gals. Something I did last night because I was so bored. I dug up my time capsule ( which is my stash full of old forgotten works of shiz XD ) and I came across this old draring of mine ( the one at the top ). I made this approximately 3+ years ago when I was still in my 2nd year in college ( oh college days... i heart thee. bleh. ). They're the characters on my comic which I sold "pretty successfully" on our college week last November 2007 at the UST.

The comic's title is SND: Serenata ng Digmaan (Serenade of War). I planned on selling this one at the Komikon 2007 but failed to do so around that time because I was poor. You see, being an indie comic artist is hard. You supply the art, you supply the story and you supply the funds. I haven't eaten for days just for these to be printed. Devotion to your craft is sometimes bad. hahaha. XD

Eniweis. This is the character design sheet I did for my story waaay back before. From left to right:

- Suk
- Ferds ~dinggydoo
- Gab ~Gavbloom
- Markus
- Maika ~Maika-Akarui
- Dei
- Airis
- Maki =demitasse-lover

All of them exist in the real world. Real friends. Real buddies of mine with a post-apocalyptic made up story with lots of guns and political rants. hahaha. XD

The lower part is the new version. "Revamped" I might say. Although not perfectly done because I just let my ballpen do it's work. Drawing straight with a ballpen is hard work but I know I'll get the hang of it eventually. It's like a super duper doodle going nowhere. Soooo a lot of anatomical anomalies are inevitable. I just did it for two hours while listening to great music (Arctic Monkeys and Eraserheads.) I was pretty loose while doing it that's why it's not clean... more like a "yoga" drawing of some sort. Just letting your mind wander with the music while your hands just draw what it feels like drawing.

I wouldn't really know which one's better, the old one or the new one.

Uhm. yah. that's it for now. I gotta draw again. Yung mga bago naman.

ps: in case you guys are wondering why i keep on using "draring" instead of "drawing", i got hooked up with Neil Buchanan's way of pronouncing it as "drarings". He's the guy from Art Attack doing big art attacks on Disney Channel. I miss those! hahaha.
