It's a bit hard for me to write out in words, but I sketch it out and lay out colors, then add several overlays for shading and color variation. After that I merge the layers and tweak the color levels in Photoshop to my liking, then bring it back into sai and render it like this.
Sometimes I do live streams where I show the actual process too, which I think might be easier to understand than my bad explanation haha
