For some reason, despite their rather short screentime together, you'd get a feeling Nomura purposely fashioned these two similar to a Sith Lord and his apprentice, the Rule Of Two.
While the Master Of Masters had multiple disciples whom are the Foretellers Ira, Aced, Invi, Gula and Ava, the seventh apprentice Luxu is the one who was given an arduous task that spans millennia.

The Master Of Masters representing the sin of Pride, his animal motif is the Lion.
Hence his robe makes use of colors heavily associated with royalty.
I certainly didn't enjoy drawing that lion mask of his and that stupid looking mane, goddammit.

As for Luxu, self explanatory.
I've mentioned this before, but it seems like he does not have an animal motif until the MoM bequeathed him the goat Keyblade.
Even then Chirithy still addresses him as a Lord, which is reserved for the Foretellers leading their respective Unions.
