I used to be pretty malicious with spiders. Whenever I caught one in my house, I'd feed it to a pet frog I used to have

Oh believe me, frogs are a great way to get rid of spiders. When I did it, I used a pair of rubber gloves to grab the spiders so they couldn't bite me. And then I dropped them in the frog cage. Tree frogs especially will eat them somewhat ravenously. Larger breeds will just gulp them down all at once. And depending on how big the spiders are where you live might determine how big of a frog you want. Frogs are also great low maintenance pets. You only have to feed them once a week or so. And if you have tree frogs, all you have to do is give them a few crickets from the pet store for like a dollar.

Never had any frogs but like I've dealt with crickets for my ungle's lizards. Well I have to say after our mini cricket farm thing, I freakin' dislike crickets now. Always eating each other and shizz before you even hand them to the lizard. Like damn. Where I'm at, we have a lot of bugs but no frogs soo....I kinda wonder how it'd work if I got like a tomato frog. There's a pet store that actually sells those, plus other replies. I like lizards even tho they eat live critters. But like when we had an alligator lizard, after we stopped the stupid cricket farm, I instead caught roaches and put them in his cage. Then there'd be times when me and my ungle went on hunts to capture grasshoppers. He'd always get them but me on the other hand, I haven't caught a single one! > 
Even tho we only have little lizards now, I still want to try catching just one!

Well a tomato frog has about the same appetite as a wood frog as they are comparable in size. And since they are most often raised in captivity, they have no problem being hand fed. Though you can actually make one mad if you believe it. A bull frog gets fairly big. But not so big that it isn't manageable. But be prepared to feed it larger prey when it gets big. The same goes for pixie and pacman frogs. When they get big, bugs are no longer enough and you have to give them mice or rats. Some people even feed them small birds or anol lizards, or even...OTHER FROGS!! For some reason it always makes me sad to see a frog eat another frog. So a tomato frog is probably the best size for you if you don't wanna see one eat something bigger than a roach.

Years ago I used to do something with my uncle we called Pop Can Hunting. We'd drive around the Christmas tree fields on a pair of lawn mowers with trailers and pick up discarded cans and bottles left by the tree trimmers.

I used to catch a lot of grasshoppers. Haven't really needed to do it in years though

Oh my god that frog's so fat! Like a little pom-pom...  somehow its cute and ugly and squeezable at the same time. >< 
Yeah we don't hunt anymore either. Those grasshoppers are damn hard to get! Uh, so how mad do tomato frogs get? By how you put it, it sounds like they freakin' take down the house in a tongue-lashing rage!! Idk if I'll get a frog or not but like I wouldn't get those ones that eat big prey. Like meh, and its pretty weird to feed a certain animal you like with another animal of the same family. Like there's these vampire bats that eat other bats, which in the wild okay fine, but I'd just feed mice. Not that I'd actually get those for a pet (nor is it possible probably) but just for an example, hmm, a bit weird. Those vicious cannibals!    I like the ones that eat easy prey in my opinion, like mealworms and dead mice and stuff. 
That squeaker frog tho.
