Description
As promised in my last deviation, here's my Law of Talos chart. And this was so. Much. Easier. Than the S:dA chart! Like, unbelievably so. Even for the fact I'd started charting it when the tourney was still running and there were only 32 competitors.Anyway, as per last time, where 2 competitors are joined by a line with a cross through it, that means neither submitted an entry, so a previous competitor was resurrected to keep the tourney running. I tried to use the original art where possible, but I couldn't find any of Moth, and I couldn't find the name of Zen-dragon-pyro's character. Which is annoying.
On the left, top to bottom, we have: Annie and Prof; Lester Mole; Moth; Antonius, Eli and Keith; Ayshia and Todd; Faust; Lucia Albatross; Murphy; Euria 'Sad Sunday'; Mikah; Dembe and Yan Qian; Lilith; Ko-omote; Kato Kuromizu; Joshua bell; and Eric.
On the right, top to bottom, we have: Chimbley; Saph; Thomberry; Spoiler; Greg and Renfield; Morrow Stone; Zen-dragon-pyro's character; Brave; Rellik; Marion and Femke; Jinam; Kit Bates; Steffi; Nerida Hayle; Mizuno; and Karl.

(On a personal note, I love this OCT. Some amazing story lines emerged, and all the characters were so individual and amazing. Yes, I had a fangirl moment hunting down references. It was worth it.)

It's tragic now that a number of the orignal contest entries are now lost. I wish I could find them somewhere. I never got a chance to read entires from characters like Euria and Fuast's round one comics.

I think they both failed to submit entries. It happened with another couple (on the other side), so they brought back 2 people who had been knocked out in the first round to balance out the board again. That's why I put an x through the lines for those pairs

I see, but why bring back those specific two? Was it just random or what?

I'm not sure, but I think it was those two because they (among others) put in a good first round entry and continued to be involved even after they were knocked out. I don't think there was any 're-entry auditions' or anything like that, but it did happen a while ago so I might be wrong :/

I think Black Lillian has the best story of any OCT entry I've ever followed. As amazing as Unknown-Person is....Lillian totally deserved that win. XD

Well, it's up to *Unknown-person to decide whether or not that's gonna happen, but I'd say that's not likely. In any case, Karl had a pretty damn good run of it - he seems to be the only reason this chart is so popular

Hahaha, yeah.... Karl is very popular, and all his fans are dying for him to make a reappearance. However, Unknown-person hasn't come back in an extremely long time and it is unlikely for Karl to make a return. However, Climber did return, so I guess there is some hope

Both entries had Karl ultimately failing and 'dying', I think, but ~BlackLillian put in a solid entry, just as *Unknown-person did. I can't say I know for certain the judging criteria, but I was going to be happy, regardless of the outcome

Yeah, it was pretty interesting to watch him actually not be in control for once. Losing an arm helped. XD

So does anyone know how the characters were judged in the OCT?
Cuz I have to admit, I am utterly surprised since this was an original character tournament, that Karl didn't win against those last two. xD Mizuno and Spoiler were pretty darn epic too. How did this happen?! We shoulda seen Spoiler vs. Karl! XD Now THAT would've been a challenge. 8D

You'd probably have to go to the judges themselves to find the specific criteria they used, but to be honest I thought that both final round entries were fantastic. I mean, I was on the Karl team the whole way through, but what an entry to lose to

Yeah, the ending was pretty cool, but is there something about Annie I don't know? Cuz all I saw was Ginger's bride, nothing really fantastically unique. I'd probably understand it better if I knew what exactly was so great about her.
Also since I'm asking questions, would you happen to know what "same mistake" Karl kept talking about? I didn't catch that. And the awesome explosion thing right before he sees that vision & loses, I had no idea what that was either. xD

Meh, just in case anyone feels like yelling at me for these comments (cuz some people have done that before) I've read Lillian's comic & saw her side of the OCT too now, so, I haven't changed my "vote" or who I would've liked to have won, but I respect Annie & Ginger a lot more now that I know them better.
