Description A blind, semi-sapient aquatic species that dwell in pitch-black caves and underground waterways. Incapable of reason, these creatures form primitive packs that actively hunt for prey within its native caves through the use of its heightened senses aside from vision. Although they had once developed a use for tools, such knowledge is lost to them, and so aside from basic stone spears they brutally slay their enemies with powerful claws, vicious bites, and a whip-like tail.

These creatures are currently within a transitive state of their evolution. Having once made use of their hind legs, generations of neglect have made them feeble and almost completely useless when above-water. When outside water, these legs dangle in the air, while the Aur'trok use their tails for mobility; in the water, however, these legs can give an extra boost to mobility - although the tail is the main source of travel when swimming.

Evidence of their dwellings suggest some semblance of a primitive society on the way towards development. Before their decline, the Aur'trok possessed the knowledge for pottery, basic tools, and simplistic writing as shown through whatever surviving artifacts that remain. There is even a belief that they had once lived closer towards the surface, where sunlight and vegetation was more common. However a great collapse in Aur'trok society occurred which had nearly devastated their population and forced its survivors into the depths of the underground. After which their chance at forming a civilization was done away, and their species regressed into a race of feral-minded, cave-dwelling abominations that pose a threat to any creature that get lost within their caves.

There's something wonderfully creepy about this creature and how its designed, especially with how its tail is used for mobility.

Love the arms and claws too! They look absolutely massive compared to its feet.
