Description This was a speed-paint illustration to further test Corel Painter to get myself into a drawing mood. I don't use Corel often, as it's not that great for me when it comes to illustration and comics, however it is a great tool for painting. I'll see about using it more in the future.

===LORE===

Colonization upon the arid world of Aurora has always proven to be a nearly impossible task, due in part to the planet's harsh environment. From dangerous fauna to powerful natives, any attempt to expand what has already been colonized requires a great deal of work and planning. However above it all are the sandstorms - a feature that covers the entire planet and is only stopped by the massive mountains that direct and soften the winds.
In the lands where the native Deltans live is where the storms are at their softest and less dangerous. However beyond the clan borders are where the storms grow harsher, so much so that they prove dangerous to even the native populace. For human and Kronian kind, the storms make travel impossible and surveillance just as so. Much of the planet is still unknown, and the natives refuse to say anymore as to what lie beyond the storms further on.

While other pockets are shown, none are as large as the ones that the Deltans occupy.

On further studies with Deltan natives, there was once a belief (before human arrival) that there wasn't much of a world beyond what the Deltans occupied - and that all worlds operated as if they rested on mountains bowls floating through the heavens.
