Description FULLVIEW OR YOU'll MISS THE POINT!

For the amount of detail it contains, it took quite a short time to make.
This is a movie poster for the film of my crossover fic, with updated character looks as well as actors and icons.
I gave creator credits to myself as well as other OC owners and I picked warner bros. as the company because it looks official and because they own the filming rights of all the none-OC's here (Since they own CN).

Notice that several characters have differant outfits and looks, I gave Mandy something warmer, since the crossover occures in a more wintery time then grim tales, she also wears a head ribbon more similar to her late daughter's.
Rose is older and thus more seriuos(and by phsychologiests, girls in their early twenties are more influanced by their fathers) and so she changed from the twisted Christmas look of her mother's whom she uses at her teens into Reaper cloaks.
Grim Jr. is older so his size is different, but he still wears something similar to his childhood cloths.
It is a theory of mine that Dr. X's human form that we saw in the comic, was not his real human form, so I designed him a new one which is supposed to be his real one, the funny irony is that he looks a little like the human form of the beast from, the "Beauty and the beast".
Jhon and the PPG got another look upgrade to make them look more real( I also noticed that the girls felt a little too tall in their former design).
Those who look at the PPG may notice I they give small wink to the increasing amount PPPerves around DA, I believe girls at their age have enough decency to keep their dresses where they should be when it gets windy, and so they do ^_^

Now for those who would like me to properly write the "actors list":

Her- Helena Bonham Carter, we knew her as the corpse bride and Bellatrix Lestrange, personally, I think no one would fit better for the job of doing "Him"'s daughter as an adult.

Mandy-Grey DeLisle, why change the one who does it best?!

Rose-Hyden Panettiere, I considered nataly portman, but when I asked Bob-dude who does he think to be the best voice actor for Rose, he presented her as one of the options and when I recognized her as none other then Clair from the series "Heroes" I said, she's a must! she also voiced Kairi in kingdom hearts for those of you who live in an anime cave!

The Grim reaper-Greg Eagles, he's used to the jamaican accent, it would be cruel of me to give the part to someone else suddenly.

Grim Jr.- Elijah Wood, who in the world would fit better for someone clumsy, innocent but brave deep inside, he did spyro the dragon, he did Mumbles! and acted as Frodo Baggins, he is a perfect match in my eyes.

Dick-Nir kittry, his maker can sound so dark himself, not to mention a wonderfull actor, he should be the man behind the voice too.

Bell-Lonoisya, she does her on the fan film of PPGD, consistancy is important, and she also have a very fitting voice for the part, cute yet sinster.

Dr. X- Alan Rickman, snape from harry potter and so many other parts, and that deep sinister British voice, who could ask for a better fit?!

Jhon "Z" Leaderkill- Ahhm... I do not trust my baby with anyone but myself! No one else can do that funny hebrew-britsh-american accent!

Buttercup-E.g. Daily, I shall take no one else! I loved her in that part more then as Tommy in rugrats.

Bubbles-Tara strong, and any other word is a waste!

Blossom-Cathy Cavadini, the women's a damn ghost I tell you! yet she has such a cute voice, she can cause that little girl sound so authoritive and patronizing, yet sweet.

?- John Doe

I started using complex brushes, you can notice hair patterns on certain characters, though I still need training.

I demand advanced critique!

And go read the fic while at it!(Those of you who didn't read it yet)

Mandy, Grim, Blossom, Bubbles, Buttercup and ?(C) CN and Warner bros.
Rose(C) Bob-dude
"Her" Grim Jr., Bell and Dr. X(C) Bleedman
Jhon "Z" Leaderkill and Dick(C) me and
Design and pic(C) me

Looking back... make me wish the Santa outfit had been kept, I like the Reaper outfit fine but I have a personal love of the other outfit. Odder Rose and whatnot I get but then the outfit would just look even better on a older Rose(or her mom for that matter...)

Eylam In reply to bob-dude [2008-02-07 04:35:09 +0000 UTC]

But it makes her less unique

bob-dude In reply to Eylam [2008-02-07 11:09:25 +0000 UTC]

Yes but the Reaper outfit also shows less skin and make her less sexy as well. That and if something unique would be needed why not just combine both the Santa outfit and Reaper cloak?(this is a rhetorical question)

Eylam In reply to bob-dude [2008-02-07 15:27:33 +0000 UTC]

Well it was quite symbolic to have her wearing the reaper robs: She's in her twenties here, it's the time where real maturity starts to kick in, where a person becomes more routine in his behaviour, while the santa cloths represent a holiday, a special occasion, the grim reaper's cloths are his work uniform, they represent routine.
Besides people have tendecy to be closer to their fathers while being young adults, after being closer to their mothers in young age, I learned that from a psychological article.

You do raise a good psychological point and I might just have an art contest at some point, won't say any more then that.

Take under consideration that you will have to offer a reasonable reward for a contest
P.s- if you wish to reply on this one, be my guest, but do so on a note to avoid spamming this deviation.

Eylam In reply to TheM-Man [2007-10-06 19:26:23 +0000 UTC]

I hate stick figures, they disturb the three dimensional effect, I prefer see through tubes sketches if you get my meaning.

TheM-Man In reply to Eylam [2007-10-06 19:33:31 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, but first do the stick sketch, then apply the tubes and cylinders to the...uh.... limbs and then you do the over all thing

hey there hun!!!
okay this is all constructive, so please don't take it personally
The first thing i noticed was the the male and female facial shape is exactly the same... it shouldn't be
Since women (well most women) aren't the same size and shape as men, their faces aren't either
The male face has a more square jaw line and the female has more of a soft edge to it, and the chins are delicate and pointed. I could see that you tried to show the difference and if you make the men's chins a little more square you won't have to fix the women
Now, the child's body is the basic shape but without the extra
What I mean by this is when you draw a woman's body you first need the shape, that shape is what the child's body shape should look like.
You did a really good job on the clothes and male bodies, but the girl's hair is a little strange.
I could tell that you wanted to show movement in the hair by the way you drew it, and it would be correct for a guys hair. But women have long hair and so the layers are going to be long. The way you have it drawn here is that all the girls have a lot of short layers in their hair and it lookslike a mullet... or a giant fuzz ball, and i know that's not your intent.
But with Bell's hair you did an excelent job!!!

Well those are the only things that i can critique, because every thing else (to me ne-way) looks really good
if you just practice on those few things you'll have it perfect...but still keep it in your own style

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Eylam In reply to KaitieBaby [2007-09-29 16:00:31 +0000 UTC]

Well, I've used more complicated brushes on the PPG's hair so it came out better.
I'll use those on everyone's hair next.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KaitieBaby In reply to Eylam [2007-09-29 16:08:22 +0000 UTC]

you did a really good job
and you're a lot braver than me, i'm too afraid to use the brushes... too prefectionist to take that risk

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Eylam In reply to KaitieBaby [2007-09-29 16:31:15 +0000 UTC]

Combine them with the pen tool and you'll get things right, look at the paths on Blossom's hair, that's a fine example for what can be done with brushes

KaitieBaby In reply to Eylam [2007-10-01 01:40:27 +0000 UTC]

hmmm... i might just try something with the brushes... but i haven't really been doin' much digi stuff lately
but i'm gonna try

Well, the girls don't count since they are pre-teens which means, no real physical difference between genders except for the pipework XD(So it's a matter of perspective)
I admit I see what you mean about Rose and perhaps "Her" (I did her a little too much like her father),
But mandy looks pretty famine to me.
