Description Exquisite Corpse with

Bernard is one of my very favorite artists on DA, and his work is tight, gorgeous, and nothing short of amazing.

My half is based off of distorted scans of my face I painted over. I sent the middle bit to Bernard, and he send back the tight, gorgeous, and nothing short of amazing right side he completed in seemingly no time at all. I'm so humbled.

I love the figure in the center. It looks like Skeltor = Jesus- which may not be your original intent- but look at it! Hahaha- I'm really mused with the female giraffes on your friends side as well. Beautiful mind-bending piece!

Skeletor adequately fills my God-shaped hole. I have shrines with skulls and incense to him.

Bernard is pretty mind-blowingly good. I suggest you check out his page for some near endless insanity. Damned Frenchman can do some artwork.

Very few people have pointed that out, but yes, that is Skeletor on the cross. Thanks for noticing.

Glad you like it.

Wow, this is awesome. I don't really know what else to say about. I think it made my brain bleed.

A few parts of it remind of that painting instructor from ECU, I think his name was Scott Wolfe, but I don't remember for sure.

But anyway, this kicks ass.

I started it many moons ago. I wanted to show it to you (my completed part, anyway) the last time we hung out. But I had absolutely no way of doing it.

His name was Scott, but I can't think of his fucking name right now for the life of me.

You should check out Bernard's work, too. I bet you'll like it.

I'll check his stuff out.

I'll bet you're thinking about Scott Eagle, who was super awesome. Funny way to get the name wrong though! Now that you mention it, this does look a little like something he might do. I'm not sure if he ever went this completely surreal, but he has had similarly loaded and exaggerated compositions. The palette is also sorta similar to his. I'll bet he'd like this anyway.

Nice you are sharing the large file and for the link and kind words as well

EZG In reply to Bernardumaine [2005-09-20 00:50:29 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, that large file took flippin' forever to upload on this terrible dial-up connection. But I think there's enough detail to warrant the large file. Unfortunately, just about anyone can download it and print it at full quality. I might reduce it a bit, after all.

I don't have a clue in the world how one goes about making an image like this, but great job making it happen. I've been checking out Bernard's work for a little while now, and he is a cool guy. I'm willing to bet that crucified Skeletor wasn't Bernard's idea...I also love those insane giraffes in the corner. I might have to examine this picture more thoroughly and discover it's righteous subtleties. I saw a bleeding nose, gross!

EZG In reply to mallaard [2005-09-20 00:46:41 +0000 UTC]

Crucified skeletor and bloody noses are indeed from the depths of my wacky mind. You might should consider joining the exquisite corpse... I don't think anything you've done really qualifies as "surreal" but I'm sure you have it in you. There's a lot of very talented people involved.
