My next Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles OC is based and named after a Power Rangers monster. Derek Masters was the quarterback for the same school as Casy, April, and Collin Macey in New York. He was one of Collin's best friends, and always had his back. Though for a while, Collin had to keep the Turtles a secret from his friend. Until, after the events of "The Mutation Situation", Derek was hanging out with Collin and they were attacked by Shredder's goons. Derek actually tried to fight back the foot Bots, and was doing a decent job, using a football as a projectile and tackling the robots to the ground. Until, a stray mutagen canister the Turtles hadn't collected yet fell from a rooftop and splattered on Derek. Collin was forced to watch his friend mutate into the last thing he touched: a centipede he accidentally touched when he tripped and fell. At first horrifed by his new appearance, Derek vented out his anger and frustration on the Foot Bots, with his new claws, stingers, mandibles and pincers, and had to be taken to the Turtles' lair to be explained the situation. He took it surprisingly well, though it was the weirdest day ever.. He was also given the name "Centiback" by Michelangelo, a name Derek had come to appreciate. Though he has many legs, he is very fast.
