Yes that is ink, and no its not blood. HAHA. : )My entry to the Unclog The Artist Contest
My concept is simple x )
What I usually do when I have an artblock is scribble it out on a piece of paper, usually with large, thick black lines. Somehow it gets rid of my art-blockiness! Try it and see if it works for you ;D

the reason why the nose is that high is because shes supposed to be tilting her head upwards but I dont think I drew that too well > A <

i don't have a membership...can i just critique it here? i believe i shall:
the detail in this is amazing, and i do believe that the thick outline around the character itself helps to bring it out from the background and stand out more. you captured the look of dripping paint very well and the appearence of smearing of the paint looks amazing. i think the eyes may be a bit crooked as opposed to where the line of the face is, but other than that, i find nothing to lead me to believe that this is anything more than a great work of art
