EDIT: She is not Emo, stop saying that! geez doesn't anyone here know other styles than that??!!
her outfit was inspired by visual rock style with few hints of punk, period.. .
This is the first sketch I did for my oc Chisuka in 2007, scanned it last night and decided to try manga pages style, I had so much fun toning it!
I love this drawing so much coz its one of very few that I didn't hate or thought it was horribly sketched later on xD
Chisuka is a main in a manga that I actually finished 5 chapters of it (the rest were dropped lol) I edited her outfit later in the manga coz it was a pain to draw all of her accessories and stuff =.= ........
in this drawing she seems to be shy... (> ￣ ³￣ ) and she was hiding her weapon behind her back!! till I yelled at her to show it to the viewers D:< LOL

Lower arms are really short. You can easily measure this with your own arms. Reach for your right/left shoulder with with your right/left hand and you'll see that you reach it. No matter how deformed you make your characters they still follow roughly the same proportions as in reality.
Compostion wise its very nice and I love the fading screentone effect.

That.. and many other mistakes I noticed in this piece -_- I was so sure that someone would point that out but no one actually did, you have sharp eyes fellow deviant! =w=
I thought about fixing her arms but then I figured that I will have re-sketch the whole thing all over again and fix it all, I drew this 4 years ago and its very special so I wanted to upload it just the way it is.. its quite selfish but I really wanted to show it to the world just the way I saw it when I first sketched this character

Mistakes are there so you can fix them after all. Keep at it. There are even books about it so you don't have to fumble in the dark.

lol but each chapter had about 22-25 pages xD
yeah.. at that time I didn't focus much on anatomy and structure.. I just really loved to draw detailed outfits, it was all about the clothes haha

I usually simplified the clothes cuz I hated drawing details.*lol*
But I like shoujo style too. It's just so cute! xD
However, sometimes I find the boys all way too skinny. :L
