Okay, so like, for some reason, art takes me a stupidly long time to finish. /: And I haven't been satisfied with my work lately and it makes me sad and I DON'T EVEN KNOW MAN. I think it's 'cause I rush through lineart/flat coloring and then that makes things more difficult later on or something. And I can't find a tool in Painter that makes lineart really really smooth. /: The lines are sorta rough looking.-sigh- So yeah, I didn't bother shading this 'cause it would've died.
... ah... yeah. -shrug-
LYNN I hope you like it skjdhf. There's just something that really pisses me off about this picture that I can't quite pinpoint but.. yeah. xD If you have crits, I'd love 'em. <3 But as a whole.. I guess.. I kinda like this. It's the best I've done in a while, I think. I dunno why. |D
Anyway, I think I need to flesh out Eve's history a bit.. it's quite interesting. Hm..

anyway, since i'm ~unblocked i may as well suggest this. xD for the lines thing, instead of the scratchboard tool, some of the other pen tools are nice. like the thick 'n thin pen, and the smooth ink pen.. they're like the scratchboard pen.. except.. less scratchy, and more smooth? /captain obvious
also, resizing the finished picture to 90% or so makes it smoother.

Faith oh my god by now I hope you know how much I adore your artwork. I'm gonna try not to ramble and spazz but MAN. You seriously have such an appealing style, how it's kind of mainstream [kind of cartoony animals whatwhat] but it's still so recognizeable. And different on top of that, I can always tell when you drew something. I like how some things are exaggerated, like the paws and tails and such. It's cool, because you can tell that you know what you're doing and you choose to exaggerate it so that it's believeable too. I don't know how to describe it, but it's something I've always wished I could do
And bah I don't know why you're not happy with your art. Personally, I've always been a total sucker for unshaded work, lets you see the lineart so much better<3 It's a cool effect though, because it makes the whole thing simplistic and it makes their eyes stand out more. I especially like it in your style, because your eyes have so much expression, it's gorgeous.
As for crits, I agree with Jem's muzzle being a little odd. I agree with Candy that the bottom jaw is out of line, but I think the top jaw is a little odd too? It's either too thick up by the nose or it comes up too much by the eye. Or maybe both, and the contrast just throws it off a bit xD Other than that, I'd say Eve's neck is probably a bit too long. With her small face and compact little body, the neck isn't quite porportionate and it throws her off a bit too. But other than that I think it's excellent, especially the character interaction<3
By now I hope you know how much I adore your art Faith wtfff ;___;<3 I aways look forward to your art, it inspires me or something. I'm still not sure xD BUT I love this and I really don't get why you don't. Be proud of it, because it's gorgeous c:

BUT AH I absolutely love how you draw faces, they're so unique and pretty looking <33 Eve's faces is gorgeous and I like her little cheekfluffs n_n

Crits? well the only thing I can see that is slightly off would be Jem's bottom jaw, it's on an angle and kinda looks like it's been knocked out of place, but then that could just be my personal opinion xD Im not too familiar with the facial structure of a canine haha xD But overall I think that this is a splendid picture C:
