Shirlee, Jason, James and I together have quite the family of just our pets. They're so much a part of our lives, and we really do consider them as our children - just ask James, I'm VERY protective about my boys. So I finally anthro-ed them all and will even tell you a little about each of them, left to right, top to bottom.

Blue is Shirlee and Jason's baby girl, a beautiful AKC registered Belgian Sheepdog. She looks like a black European wolf! She's still growing out of being a puppy, so she's the most like a spunky teenager out of all of them, would dress in trendy things and listen to pop, bubblegum, hip-hop and whatever's on the Top 40 on the radio. She's a little ditzy, but very smart and lovable.

Majik is my dog (who's been claimed by my mommy because she needs a doggy). He's half black lab and have English shepherd (looks JUST like an Aussie but has a tail); when his coat grows out he looks more like an Aussie, and when mom gets his hair cut he looks like a lab puppy. Honestly? He's better with the long hair - he looks more distinguished! He's the oldest out of all of them and is more of a hippie. Majik's a lot like Shaggy from Scooby Doo and will eat anything and everything, but loves big weird sammiches and salads (seriously). He rocks out to 60's a 70's funk and classic rock. Even though Blue's energy tires him out, Majik loves going over to hang out with her and Tasis, but above all loves long road trips and seeing new places (which is why he fits into our clan's lifestyle so well!).

Omen is my little terror. Of my two cats he's the elder, and it really shows - Omen is far more assertive and welcoming to strangers, and definitely isn't afraid to bully Shale around come bath time. While not as much of a mama's boy as his brother Shale, Omen loves his mommy very much and constantly comes over to show me. <3 James and I consider him our goth kitty, especially since he's so laid back and has an affinity for snuggling up in whatever black clothing is lying around, particularly James' black woolen topcoat. Omen likes trying new foods and is crazy about crackers and cheese, breads and crunchy cookies. He takes after his mommy and listens to 80's and 90's metal, grunge and classic rock and wants an Axel Rose top hat. The only thing he really doesn't like is traveling, which makes him anxious and restless; very much the "Are we there yet?" teen.

If you've ever watched Alvin and the Chipmunks and grasp Theodore's personality, just make him a chubby Russian Blue kitty and you've got my Shale. The definite mama's boy out of them, Shale would still rather it be just the three of us so he could snuggle me all to himself. He is very sweet and shy of newcomers, and can become easily distressed if the things that make him feel safe are missing, like if I go on vacation for a week or am gone too often. Once he gets to know you he'll be your friend and love on you a lot, especially if you brush his hair. Shale prefers the quieter things, and would much rather spend an afternoon sitting on the porch listening to ambient music than running amok.

And finally we come to Shirlee and Jason's other baby, Nephthys Tasis, the genuine hellion of them all. She's the youngest and the spunkiest, and is known for going from sweet to rotten in a heartbeat. She can be very sweet and she and Blue love each other to bits (and she doesn't mind Majik nosing or loving on her), but sometimes she's too much for even Blue to herd in the right direction. Always getting into something and looking like she's always plotting something, we're all hoping that once she matures a little more that she'll make a nice, calm, and bite-free girl.... one of these days.
