I really wish this had been in the movie, it's one of my favorite bromance scenes between John and Tars Tarkus in the book. Oh well, it was still a fabulous movie. Go watch it and read the books while you're at it. They're so good- it's like they're literary crack.
John's hard to draw. Each time I tried to draw him he just looks like Tarzan... which I guess isn't that bad since he loves animals and was created by the same guy. Meh
Also, can I have Woola please? And can someone get these stupid drunk teenagers on spring break out of my front yard? It's like one in the morning.
EDIT: Whoops missed the 4 legs on his underbelly when I watched the movie (I even looked for them). I tried to fix it but I couldn't make it look right. Meh, I'll fix it some other time.

Yes, it's already been established that I missed Woola's inner legs when I first saw the movie and when I drew this. I'll even state it in the author's note. There. I admit it, I messed up.

No it's ok. Sorry I was snappy. I had just gotten home from 8 hrs of working in 100+ degree rainy weather. I was pretty grumpy. No harm done. I've tried to fix it but it looked bad. I'll try again someday though

It's okay if John Carter looks like Tarzan; Edgar Rice Burroughs wrote that book too.

Yeah, it was a good movie but I thought the books were amazing. Still, all in all I think that Disney did a pretty good job.

It's ok. They went crazy around 3 in the morning and the cops came to arrest them because they started fighting up and down the street. One of them pulled out a gun. It was pretty intense.

I know but I blame the movie. The movie design made me do it... and I did try to do 10 legs but I couldn't figure out what to do with all of them. I had a hard enough time with Tars Tarkas's four arms.

I understand why you missed the other 4 legs. I've seen the movie 8 times so far and have seen character sheets on Woola from Disney. He does have 10 legs but 4 are on his belly. Maybe they tried to have Woola roll over like this but it ended up looking too awkward?

Yeah, I actually did end up changing this picture in Photoshop so that he had the 4 legs on his belly but I wasn't at all satisfied with how they turned out. I'm not going to update this picture until I have time to properly fix it.

God damn it movie... never mind Woola does have 10 legs in the movie. 4 of them are just tiny and on his belly so they're really hard to see. I didn't even notice them once during the whole movie. Stupid movie design, now I've got to fix my picture.
