Hey there Deviantart community. I am building a gaming team as we have 5 people in the team so far and are continuously receiving more emails regarding joining. We need volunteers at the moment to help fill the roles for design, modeling and coding. Please email me at vxtream@gmail.com or comment reply to this if your interested and... WOW that is good stuff!

You know what's funny? This is better quality than anything the Team Ninja guys made, and they're basically the guideline for hot models. Especially the hair. Mmmhmm. Pieces of ribbon for hair does not look good. I'm looking at you, DOA:EBVB2

You modeled this in Maya? Gods, isn't that program difficult? D:

Yep xP
The interface is kinda difficult to get used to, but it's pretty nice once you get used to it ^^

Wow that's really good =o I tried making a person in 3ds max once... oh god was that ugly. xD I couldn't get anything to shape right... but this is looking perfect so far, proportions look spot on and face detail looks great ^^

It's better ^^ There's still room for improvement but it's no longer "schocking" me (I personnally would lift the main part of the lips a bit closer to the nose, but I guess it's more a matter of taste)
BTW, you changed something on her nose or is the shading that makes it look like you screwed something? IIRC it didn't look the same on the previous shot

I'll keep taking it xD~
I did change the lighting around a bit, I'll move it around too to get a better lighting shot, but I'll do HDR lighting at the end, so this lighting is just temp.

Well, overdoing reflectivity can help guessing the shapes better. When it's too low it looks flat. What you can do is try to find the good settings for specular and glossiness for each material, this way you have a good preview during the process, and you change all that when working on final materials.

MrKilljoy In reply to fadingz [2008-11-20 15:41:15 +0000 UTC]
Well, with the lack of good lighting, it's hard to see the body curves and edges clearly. It seems to look better indeed, but how much? I dunno yet

How is it now? ><
I'll try to set up the lighting this weekend.
I usually use 3 point lights for WIP to save time.
