Description This bio is for my fan character, Nyra, whom I've pegged as Wan Shi Tong's mate in Avatar: The Last Airbender.
If you're not a fan of that sort of thing, feel free to leave.

There are some adult themes later on in her life, so be prepared for that and try to keep a mature and psychological mindset.
There is a lot of head cannon in this, so brace yourself for that.
Thank you, and please enjoy.
-----------------------------------------------------

~~About the Name~~

Her name is, yes, a ripoff from Owls of Ga'Hoole's Nyra.
I was younger, stupider and didn't expect I would someday share her with the internet.

When I first picked the name, I spelled it "Naira" to try and keep it a little separated from the books/movie.
But I ended up losing interest for a few months, and when I came back, without having any proper documentation and not remembering how the OG was spelled, I defaulted to "Nyra" and hoped for the best.
This was when I started becoming attached to that spelling.
And then of course, after that was when I saw the OG's spelling (I also used to be much lazier) and realized my mistake.
But by that point, it was far too late.

~~"Yin-Yang" Essence~~

In the Spirit World of Avatar, there are many different essences of course, but two more notable ones are the Yin and Yang essences.
As the lore goes, Yin is a female essence, occasionally producing little spirits of her Yin ways; feminine or female beings who are black in coloration with small white patches, water-oriented, calm, and fairly wise.
Yang, on the other hand, is male and produces Yang essences; white spirits with black markings, who are wild, fire-oriented and masculine.

But once in a blue moon, Yin and Yang make a gender opposite.
Wan Shi Tong is an example of this, as he is a male result of Yin, and has somewhat cruel tendencies.
Nyra, the white owl and future mate of Wan, is his Yang-birthed counterpart.
She is female, and wild and fiery, but with motherly and kind tendencies.

It is healthy for the Yin and Yang essences to produce rare spirits like this, but it is indeed rare, as in it only occurs once every 5,000 years.
Typically, these rare "offspring" are quite strong and conscious with a powerful influence over others.

~~The Story of Nyra (and Wan Shi Tong)~~

Nyra is a Yang-based female owl spirit, counter part and future mate of Wan Shi Tong.
She is currently, 3,000 years old.

She lived in the Spirit World for the majority of her life, going on just like the rest of them.
Her favorite thing to do was socialize, rave and party with other spirits, and sing her lungs out.
A gifted singer with the natural ability to captivate whoever listened, being in center stage was natural to her.
But she had other interests in hobbies, and lived outside these "spirit clubs," too.

She knew about humans, and was ignorant -- but always curious about them.
Still, she remained in the realm she was born into, not wanting to risk losing her immortality.
But after a close call with Koh, the face-stealer, Nyra decided she no longer wanted to be in the Spirit World, and made plans to escape.
It was a lot of work for her mentally; she had to come to grips with giving up her inability to be defeated by humans or in simple ways.
She would still be able to live on and on and on, but from now on she would be falsely immortal, and run the risk of being eliminated by something as menial as being stabbed or falling from a certain height.

During a Winter Solstice at the North Pole, Nyra entered through a portal, and appeared out in the freezing cold and snow.
It was a new and very jarring sensation, but she knew all of earth was not so cold.
She knew she'd be fine though given her fiery insides, and stumbled about the physical world until she got her bearings, and her exploration began.

Nyra was a bit stuck-up, held in her Spirit World ways.
She did not see the humans as being overly special for quite some time, but after only roughly 5 or 6 years of exploring and sight seeing, she came to the outskirts of the Earth Kingdom.

~~Unexpected Motherhood~~

One night, under a bright and full moon, she came across a heavily pregnant woman all alone in her dilapidated home.
Perched on a tree branch, Nyra watched through the window as the woman went into labor, and bravely went through the beautiful agony of birthing a human infant all on her own, bringing forth life from her very own flesh.
Nyra's heart throbbed when she witnessed the infant take her first breath, and she has enamored with mankind ever since.

Nyra never left the Earth Kingdom after that.
Hiding and always disguised, the white owl watched over the female family for two years, seeing the little girl grow up slowly.
Her name was Janine, and every first she had was miraculous in Nyra's eyes.
The mother and daughter pair never knew they were being watched over.

---

But one night Nyra when was away from the home, she returned to a tragedy; the mother had been attacked and killed by a violent mugger.
Devastated, and feeling a deep guilt for not having been there to defend the small family, Nyra took it upon herself to raise the human child on her own.
She even made sure Janine knew her name, and what became of her mother when she grew a tad older.

Caring for a toddler was not easy, especially when she was still dependent on a lot of milk.
But there was plenty of that in the villages all around, and Nyra took to stealing it for her, and aiding her in eating solids.
She even toilet trained her!
She didn't mind; she loved the human.
She knew mankind was challenged, but their young were so innocent and pure, and so full of love and wonder.
Nyra became her adopted mother, not even bothering to try and find another human to surrogate her.
She didn't want to.

Janine loved her owl mom.
She grew up always knowing her, and always receiving the required affection and teaching a child needs.
It was just part of Nyra's programming; it came so naturally to her.
She loved to hold, cuddle and encourage her daughter.

When Janine was old enough to go out into town, Nyra would shape shift into a small hummingbird fairy-like creature and hide in her pockets to make sure no harm would befall her.
She would often also steal small amounts of coins and bring them back to Janine to use in town.
She would steal food for her, too, and even nice clothing.
As a spirit, she was quite gifted at sneaking around and quietly taking what she needed or wanted.
She tried to take from stores and not from families that were using things, but in the grand scheme of it all, she would do anything for Janine.
This became evident later on.

When they were at home and hidden, Nyra would take a larger form so as to better hold and love on Janine.
No matter how big Janine got, Nyra would always be big enough to be her bed, blanket, and more.
But Nyra could not keep her safe from everything...

---

When Janine was 7 years old, Nyra was watching over her as she played outside their home in the evening.
History threatened to repeat itself, if only more violently, when from afar Nyra saw two men approaching from out of the blue.
Rough, wild-eyed men with weapons and sacks; it looked shady, but Nyra was nervous to reveal herself.
Her nerves soon broke and turned to sheer maternal instinct when the men proved their desires to harm Janine, and the owl struck down with her feathers ablaze, killing both men in a blood bath after instructing her daughter to run.
Janine, fortunately, did not see the violent deaths delivered to her attackers.
Covered in the blood of her foes, Nyra sought for Janine and led her back home, disposing of the men swiftly and getting cleaned up.
She held Janine all through the night, and never let her out of her sight for the next few weeks.
Things did, however, go back to normal, and Janine had gotten off unscathed.

~~A Tragic Loss~~

When Janine was 11 years old, she contracted a fatal illness that Nyra couldn't keep away.
No amount of menacing faces, sharp talons or flaming feathers could protect Janine from the sickness, and there was no known cure.
She tried everything; soups, medicinal herbs, prayers, rituals, baths -- everything, but it just wasn't enough.
She would comfort Janine, telling her she was fine, and that her getting sleepier was a sign that her sickness was "working its way out," but Nyra knew the truth.
And after only a week of battling the sickness, Janine passed away in her sleep.
Nyra wrapped her herself, and buried her in a self-dug grave beside her birth mother in a beautiful meadow, painting a symbol of an owl and a child on a rock and placing it as her tomb stone.
Life would never be the same for the spirit.

Losing Janine was the most devastating and heart-destroying event in Nyra's entire existence.
She spent many nights screaming and bawling into the night, crying out for her lost daughter and missing her more than she could have ever fathomed.
She burned things to the ground, clawed trees to their cores and unleashed massive amounts of energy and power high up in the mountain ranges in solitude, doing all she could to release some of the pain, but it was never enough.
Her precious child was her life's love, her whole world both here and everywhere, and she was gone; passed on into a spirit paradise in the heavens, where such good humans belonged when they passed.

~~Disgraced~~

After months of grieving and being lonely, she felt she could only cope by becoming numb.
She went cold inside and grew tired of being alone, and found a way to dive back and forth between the mortal and Spirit worlds through her own raw power and instincts.

She would go back to her place of origin, finding other spirits and engaged in very adulterated parties.
Usually places of singing as she enjoyed, and she still sang, but things became far less innocent very quickly.
There was alcohol, mind-altering substances, and a lot of sex and misguided play.
Before then she had never mated with anyone, and ended up giving away her first time with a stranger whose name she honestly can't even remember now.
This happened about once a week, sometimes more if she was really having a rough time.
And yet other times, she would try to take some time to herself to just exist and breathe, be it in the spirit world or the mortal world.
But as it always had, the loneliness got her -- even when she wasn't thinking about Janine, and it was back to partying.

She would copulate with strangers, growing wrongly addicted to the bliss of a quick, physically satisfying session.
It was never enough, though.
After a wild night or two in the Spirit World, she would come back to the mortal world and reel from the shame of being so many spirits' sex toy, and a booze hound.
Sometimes, she was too intoxicated to consent properly, but given she never remembered what happened to her, she hardly cared on a certain level.
All she knew was that she was sore, irritable and hungover.
Thankfully, she had actively disabled any chance at conceiving from all her misadventures, but it still sucked.

She didn't have a drug or alcohol problem; she was just addicted to partying and noise and, admittedly, sex and self satisfaction.
She gained a bit or a rep this way, but she didn't care.
The sex was decent, but she didn't truly love anybody.
It was just always a fling that kept her from dealing with the pain.
In fact, sometimes she would make a game with out of mating with certain males, treating them like trophies or prizes.
Nyra had a decent amount of female and male friends alike to bounce those concepts off of, most of which encouraged her -- all because they had no idea what she'd been through, or what she did when she wasn't partying.
She grew a thick shell, and built massive walls around her heart.

It wasn't always bad, though.
Sometimes she did constructive things, like join big spirit groups and sing with them, or participate in games, or travel around the earth and observe beautiful phenomena.
She learned more about humans, too.
In many ways, the better experiences she had were informative and enriching, and gave her a unique amount of information other spirits didn't have.
But still, the very unhealthy lifestyle she'd made for herself held her hostage.
It was very much love-hate.

~~A Change of Pace~~

20 years of off and on partying and wild exploration later, she caught wind of the ominous Wan Shi Tong, owner of the Spirit Library.
She thought it interesting, and wanted to see him.
More than that, though, she wanted to seduce him if she could, and engage him in a sexual act as something to brag about later.
He was like the ultimate prize in her eyes, but she had no idea how to get to the library.

Nyra soon learned that fox spirits would often take knowledge in books, scrolls or parchment and bring it back to the library.
So for months she searched for them on earth, and found a fox spirit that had taken a piece of parchment, and followed it for days.
She followed it secretly until it led her into the Library, and there she met the infamous owl who owned it.
Wan seemed to care less.
Someone new in the library?
So long as they made themselves visible to him right away and they weren't human, he didn't mind.

Nyra came onto him almost right away, but Wan didn't get the hints.
So, she insisted on staying until he got the message.
He found her rather annoying, actually, and remained as callous and indifferent as usual.
In fact, at one point he even suggested she leave if she wasn't interested in reading or learning, but Nyra was persistent.
She pointed out how similar they looked, like "Yin and Yang."
She said it was destiny for her to appear in the library.
Wan admitted their similarities were indeed, striking and peculiar, but he still asked her to make a point to read and learn.
Nyra said she didn't want to leave until she'd seen the entire library's body, and made a subtle yet suggestive comment about exploring other bodies.
Wan became suspicious, and so Nyra made a proposal.

~~What a Pest!~~

It would seem Wan met his match, as Nyra proved to be just as stubborn as he was, and knew how to coerce the ancient owl into keeping her around.

Wan let her stay, only after Nyra presented an interesting deal.
She declared she had a knowledge of things Wan didn't, and pledged to teach him "10,000 things more than he already knew," an obvious play on the wording of his name.
Wan scoffed, doubtful, but was interested nonetheless, and allowed her to stay.
He would soon regret it, day in and day out.

---

Nyra was wild, fun and a bit messy at times, constantly disrupting the Library's usual quiet and annoying Wan on a normal basis.
She liked to make little comments about him being handsome, fit, tall, etc and tried to play into his ego to seduce him.
He never budged, and often sent her away so he could focus on what he was doing.
So she pestered him, telling him she knew he could shape shift into other forms if he would only try, but Wan was stubborn, and insisted that he didn't want to.
Hell, even her mentioning going outside and getting some fresh air was annoying to him, to which he suggested she go outside.
She got the message, but for her it only made the hunt more exciting.
It wasn't often that her prey "fought back," but Nyra was careful.
She didn't touch him inappropriately or make comments that were too outlandish, but she definitely made it known more and more over time that she was sexually interested in him.
Wan constantly turned her down, but...she could sense he was holding something back.
Whatever he was feeling, Nyra could sense it being pushed down.
This made her more curious about him, and made her ask more questions.

She might have driven him crazy, but she was slowly growing on Wan as the days became weeks.
And though her nuisance-like activity and incessant talking sometimes got on his nerves, Wan quietly found himself learning from her.
If nothing else, he took interest in studying and being around a spirit who knew the human world fairly well...
Even if she was potentially a lunatic.
With the little he was learning, Wan still considered her to be inferior on an intellectual level (ahh, good old arrogant Wan), and figured by the time she had seen the whole library, she would not be able to hold up her end of the deal, and could be kicked out of the library at last.
So, to put simply, he had mixed feelings.

Nyra would sing at night, her voice surprisingly beautiful and haunting, filling the echoing terrace of the building and soothing all who were in it.
Even Wan would occasionally find himself lulling at her voice, as her speaking register was quite beautiful, too.
And as rambunctious and flirty as she was, she was also very graceful, feminine, and had a weird wisdom of her own that Wan slowly began to recognize.
Sometimes, he even asked her questions.

She challenged Wan to think harder about deeper topics, and sometimes even helped him find clarity over things he was stuck on.
More often than not, the topic he was stuck on was more simple than complicated.
What made it difficult was that he tried to use logic to find the answers, when it turned out he needed to look more deeply into the situation, in an emotional way.
Woman's intuition proved to best him in these moments, and he couldn't deny it.
Maybe she wasn't as smart as Wan (and most people weren't), but she was no doubt intelligent, and offered things Wan didn't have.
And he knew it.
And it bugged him, but he still kept her around -- well after she'd seen the entire library, too.

Still, Nyra was relentless with her sexual appetite and hints, not to mention how infuriatingly insistent she was about trying to convince Wan to "get out once in a while."
She also had a habit of messing with him by stealing his quills or supplies while he was working, trying to engage him in play by making him chase her.
Her heart was in the right place, but it only made Wan more irritated as he questioned keeping her around.
And she had a tendency to accidentally break things or mess up well-ordered books, which peeved Wan to no end.

Their situation was not helped by the fact that Wan despised mankind while Nyra was in love with the species.
They would butt heads quite a bit, but Nyra failed to tell Wan about her long-lost daughter for a while.
Eventually she confessed, but she was brief; she couldn't bear to think about it for too long.

---

Wan's rejection frustrated her quite a bit, but she never let it deter her for too long.
She would soon be back to trying to seduce him, and he would be fully aware of her appetite and offer alternatives, all while tentatively turning her down.
It was routine, really, and nothing she said really surprised him.
More and more, Nyra sensed that he was pushing down a very strong feeling, and she was starting to concoct theories.
But while she wasn't looking, she found Wan was starting to grow on her, too.
Little did she know, Wan refusing to give into her was actually doing her a lot of good.

They grew closer after about two months, but weren't anywhere near being a couple.
Still, they listened to each other more as opposed to forcing their opinions and ideas on one another.
Nyra was helping Wan learn to be a bit less close-minded, and he was helping Nyra learn to be calm, patient and more tactful.
She respected his space more, and he was less huffy when she nicely suggested going out or being playful.
Even if he did constantly reject her, they were learning to be kinder to one another.
They still had their problems, but it wasn't as bad.
There was a sort of mutual respect they were starting to gain for one another.
They even were taking note of how they looked like Yin and Yang, and felt like missing puzzle pieces sometimes.
Soon after this, Nyra began to feel that the thing Wan was pushing down was attraction to her, too.
Maybe she didn't just want him because he was "the ultimate prize."
The universe had drawn her to him, and she was starting to have feelings.
They scared her, but she had to wonder...
Did Wan have feelings for her, too?

~~A Big Mishap~~

One day during their third month living together, while Wan was in a very deep, far off section of the Library, Nyra stayed at the entrance, quietly enjoying the day.
During her humble moments of being relaxed and calm, a large spirit entered the Library without permission, much like she had done a short while back, but was clearly there to make more trouble than she ever could have imagined.

It attacked, swiping at and hurting the foxes, quickly moving to try and steal a large sum of books and knowledge for its own gain.
Terrified and knowing only her protective instincts, Nyra enhanced her size and used her fire, clawing viciously at and attacking the spirit.
Their battle took down entire isles of shelves, fire scorching the walls and even burning up a few pieces of information -- though luckily not too much more.
Books and scrolls and objects were tossed everywhere, belongings were shattered, and the battle traveled throughout a good portion of the building for several minutes.
Wan, alerted to the horrible sounds and violent shaking of his home, found his way to the battle and was horrified by what he saw.
Destruction, and it was growing by the second.
He took a serpent form and overpowered the enemy spirit along side Nyra, wounding it badly and casting it out of his sanctuary.
But when he and Nyra both shrunk down, she ended up taking a great deal of the blame for the disaster.

She pleaded that she was only trying to help, but Wan's home, books and knowledge were everything to him, and he'd had them for far longer than his frivolous guest.
He finally accused her of failing to "teach him 10,000 things more than he already knew," and demanded that she leave, as all she could ever do was mess things up.
They had quite the angry verbal spat, spewing venom at one another until Nyra angrily departed with tears streaming down her cheeks.
She retreated to the Spirit World without looking back.

~~Flowering Love~~

A few days passed, and not a word.
Wan was still in the process of cleaning the mess, with the help of his exhausted foxes.
But as this short time went on, he found more and more how much he truly missed Nyra.
He missed her singing, her loudness, her nosiness, how well she treated the foxes; and it was apparent they missed her, too.
By the middle of that third night, he decided he wanted her back.

For the first time in his existence, possibly, Wan Shi Tong left the Library in the care of the foxes, and went into the Spirit World, seeking Nyra.
He knew he would have to look in very loud and tightly-packed places, as Nyra had often bragged about her clubbing and hanging out in more wild area with rowdy crowds.
But he also knew she was a very flirtatious and "experienced" character, and feared secretly of the danger she would get herself into.

Finally he found her after a few hours, and she was indeed in a "club" of sorts.
He found her heavily drunk and speaking with a great grey owl spirit, who seemed to be advancing more on her than the other way around.
Indeed, Nyra had gone out to get drunk and have a good time, but since spending time with Wan, she found she didn't want to copulate with anyone.
She didn't want to mate, she didn't want the sex or even all the highs -- she just wanted Wan.
Or, in that moment, to forget about him and spare herself the misery of being without, especially after literal months of being used to living with him.
But the spirit was persistent, and sadly it appeared as if Nyra would not be strong enough to resist him.
Fortunately Wan came in just in time, and drove the advancing male
Nyra tried to make Wan leave, considering she was also still upset with him and fueled by her heavy drinking, but he wouldn't go.
She insisted he didn't need her, anyway, that she would only mess everything up and he should go "before it's too late."
But Wan was still stubborn.
He locked talons with and carried her back to the Library.

---

She woke up quite groggy, but found she was comfortably placed in a basket with a blanket.
As it turned out, Wan had taken care of her throughout the night.
She had passed out halfway through the ride home.
Naturally, Nyra was very confused.
Why would Wan come for her?
How did he even know where to look?
Upon asking him how he knew where to go, he answered, "intuition."

They discussed that someone tried to take advantage of her, but Wan stopped it.
She barely remembered it; she just remembered seeing his face, and somberly confessed that that "wouldn't have been the first time."
Wan was abhorred on her behalf.
Nyra then expressed guilt for her behavior, apologized for her own advances, and said she feared she would only ruin his life.
But Wan disagreed...

He confessed that he'd missed her, and that he was worried about her.
He told her how infuriating and wild and crazy she was, how much misery she had caused him and all the restless moments he had spent in her presence.
Then...
He told her what good she had brought, and the life and light that had come to the Library, and how happy and productive all the foxes were with her around.
She helped him solve problems, to think more deeply, and to appreciate what he had.
He told her he was more or less just upset that his Library had been attacked in the first place and had taken it out on her, but appreciated that Nyra was just trying to protect it.
The female was touched.

"So...
Will you stay and...teach me those 10,000 things more?"

She did.
She stopped making advances towards him, and a most harmonious relationship sprouted.

---

About a week later, Wan found Nyra sadly watching it rain in the night, and before he could even ask what was wrong, she told him that he had done right by her.
She thanked him for rejecting her sexual advances, and told him that it had helped her to slow down and appreciate him and life, rather than just drifting along it fleetingly.
She talked in full about what happened with Janine, and how that experienced had made her love humans.
She told Wan that losing Janine had been what sent her spiraling out of control 20 years ago, and that trying to seduce Wan had proved a lengthy and fun challenge that she thought could occupy her for a short while before she moved onto the next thing, but she was wrong.
She really cared about him, and she told him that she admired how he had something to care about, and that she missed that.
She even confessed that she was starting to fall in love with him.

"As scary as this is, falling for you has been a greater thrill than waking up already on the ground, and never having gotten the chance to fall in the first place."

Surprisingly, Wan did not panic or leave, or even defend himself.
He quietly let her talk, because deep down he was starting to feel the same way.
Nyra wasn't surprised to not get a hug from him, but Wan did stay by her, and make an effort to make her feel better, telling her how much he appreciated her.
He admitted that he was scared, too, because he'd been trying to resist her from the moment they'd met.
Nyra was surprised, and then she was elated.
Stayed calm, though.

---

A week later, Wan surprised her by shape shifting into a hummingbird fairy just to appease her.
It turned out he could take more forms after all.
Needless to say, she was thrilled.
Some time after that, they would quietly begin acting more like a couple, if only bit by bit.
Their relationship was still not perfect as neither of them were, but things were definitely looking up for the both of them.
Wan was still a bit stuffy and Nyra was still wild and suggestive, but they had both calmed down.
They had learned to balance each other out.
They eventually had their first kiss, locked talons in a rain storm, and Wan started to go outside here and there.

After a year of Nyra living there, she never wanted to go flinging ever again.
She wanted Wan Shi Tong to explore the world with her, but that would be a work in progress, and she knew they had all the time in the universe.

On the anniversary of the day they met, they made love for the first time (which was also, coincidentally, Wan's first sexual encounter ever).
The next day Wan was in such a state of bliss, he pretty much gave his foxes the day off!
Since then, the two have been deeply in love, and inseparable.
Not perfect, but still whole.

~~The Present~~

Wan Shi Tong and Nyra are now happily living in the Library.
Wan is the sole curator and caretaker as always, and Nyra serves as someone who welcomes in visitors, protects the entrance, and helps out with maintenance.
Even though Wan is tough on his foxes, he still loves them, and Nyra always helps them feel it.

Wan is still very irritable toward humans, and Nyra still loves them, but she also knows they are very troubled and sinful, and full of evil when they don't choose the better paths.
Nyra respects Wan's rules and fears regarding mankind, though she still has a soft spot for them and tries to argue their case whenever humans try to enter the library.
She will not succeed until around 200 AG.

Wan is still shy sexually at times, but is steadily opening up to Nyra.
Wan is the first mate Nyra has ever truly had, and has ever been so tender with.

Nyra and Wan shape shift together casually, and he has even helped her learn how to turn into a giant feathered dragon like him.

Nyra still hurts for Janine, and is learning to open up more about her bit by bit.
Wan is always a great listener, and never speaks ill of the child or children at all, out of respect.

~~In the Future~~

Way way way in the future, Wan and Nyra will have a child of their own; a daughter named Tongyi, who will bear mixed markings from her parents.
As far as is known nothing is perfect, but their futures are secure in one another.

~~Location and Timing~~

Nyra came into the mortal world ten years prior to Avatar Aang being uncovered in the ice of the Water Tribe by Katara and Sokka.
Soon after this was when she found Janine and her mother.

20 years after Janine died, she sought Wan out, which didn't happen until after Team Avatar had already encountered him.
This puts her at meeting Wan roughly 111 AG, still predating Korra's story by a landslide.
The current time is 113 AG.

CURRENTLY

Wan and Nyra's current focused time takes place between Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra.
The Library has sank in and out of the Spirit World off and on, and is currently risen back into the mortal world in a strange oasis with many cherry blossom trees surrounding everything.
Beyond that stretches the desert.

~~Nyra's Personality~~

Nyra is wild, fiery, passionate, romantic, motherly, feminine, flirtatious, sexy, intelligent, and wildly fun.
She loves the party life and feeling involved in the world, but knows now that submitting to the calm and quiet is beneficial for her, and enables her to heal.
She's sweet as pie when you're on her good side, but scorn her and there will be considerable suffering.

Nyra is very protective of what and who she loves, and she's nothing short of a fierce fighter.

~~Magical Prowess~~

Nyra's eye color is ice blue, but can become red-orange or red mixtures when angry, and often her eyes redden when she activates her fire power.
She can ignite herself, mostly from her tail and wing tips, but will engulf her full body sometimes, too.

Like Wan, Nyra can become very large, but chooses to stay a smaller, more normal barn owl size.

Nyra can shape shift, her most common forms being a hummingbird fairy, a gryphon, and most recently, a coatl.
She can also create variations of her form.
Wan Shi Tong can do the same.

Wan possess a pair of eye spots on the back of his head, possibly able to "see" or detect people behind him.
Nyra has identical ones, only black, which tingle when someone is watching her from behind.

~~Spiritual Symbols~~

A common fruit associated with Nyra is the cherry.
Cherries are associated with sex, lust, love, charm, feminism, and over all fashion and beauty.
As such, the cherry blossom is also the flower she associates with, and she is attracted to both.

Wan's symbolic fruit is a golden apple to represent resilience, sharpness, focus, integrity, dignity, and of course, knowledge.

OMG such a big bio!!!
MY EYES FEEL LIKE THEY'RE GOING TO BLEEEED AND YES I TYPED THIS ALL IN ONE SITTING YOU NINNIES

Guys, i've had Nyra for two years or so, and still never posted a bio.
Wtf is wrong with me.
Though to be perfectly honest, i just thought of how she came to the mortal world last night, so it was only just recently completed ;___;
I think a lot of that is laziness, but i have sooo many mental situations, ideas and stories for Nyra and Wan i can't possibly get it all out at once, and i very well might never get it done.
Still, i'm SO glad i got this finished, you don't even know.
More art to come!

Please, everyone, enjoy the fruits of my eye-straining brain-testing labor!!!

My my, look how far we've come.
Look how far they've come, aww...
I hate that i'm doomed to mooch off this other franchise and have a cringy ass Mary-Sue fan OC with Wan, but hey...
Someone has to

Thank you so much for reading if you did, this was a blast to work on again and the art may change again in the future.
The description could update someday again, too!
All in all, i am very proud and very pleased, and I hope you are, too.

ENJOY!

---DO NOT STEAL MY STUFF!!! I DO NOT OWN AVATAR OR WAN SHI TONG, BUT I DO OWN THIS ART AND NYRA!!!!!----
