Description Jane Seymour, third wife of Henry VIII (1508/09 - 1537). She was once a lady-in-waiting to Anne Boleyn, and Catherine of Aragon before her. Docile and meek, Jane was the complete antithesis to the sultry, vivacious Anne.
Henry and Jane were engaged the day after Anne Boleyn's execution (before Anne was barely cold in her grave!) and they were married ten days later.
The only of his wives to bear him a living son (who would later succeed Henry VIII as Edward VI), Jane died in October 1537 from puerperal fever.

I actually really like how this drawing turned out, which is perverse really because she is my least favourite of Henry's consorts. I based it on Jane Asher in the role. I doubt that Plain Jane was as pretty as the wide-eyed Asher, but there you go!

RGGG. . .I can't stand Jane, she is the exact opposite of Anne Boleyn, and Anne was the true heroine not Jane!
