Description "Her proud head drooped a little. Then quietly, more as if speaking to herself than to him: 'But the healers would have me lie abed seven days yet,' she said. 'And my window does not look eastward.'" -RotK, "The Steward and the King"

I really love both Faramir and Eowyn. It's a pity the scan didn't pick up the pencil detailing better, as this is my first non-Photoshopped drawing in a while, but oh well. I might tinker with coloring it later; add that to the list of projects! I'm pleased with how Eowyn turned out, very much like how I imagine her, while Faramir--well, could have been worse, I suppose . . .

Don't ask me about the scroll thingy in the background. I just put it in because otherwise the piece looked too empty . . . I suppose it can represent the dark wave of Faramir's dreaming, or the banners of Rohan, or the written word both characters are made of, or whatever else you like.

No matter how I love Doctor Who and various other fandoms, Tolkien and his works remain my first and greatest love

Mechanical pencil.

This is so beautiful and sad... though I'm slightly distracted by Eowyn's gorgeous shiny hair.

Thank you! Eowyn and her shiny hair . . . I guess she's had it washed since the battle
