I drew only the head of the picture about a month ago and then added a random body last night............. and for some reason this was the only pose I got out of that...

Lucas [Prince] Character Bio:

Age: 17

Lucas is the heir to the throne of an autocratic empire. His father is the king, who reigns under a system of racial class with ideals that have been imbedded deep within the empire for decades. Consequentially, Prince Lucas was raised harboring an unreasonable prejudice against the large population of “Healers” [a name given to followers of a certain religion] within the empire. The king, known for his cruelty to the impoverished, is also harsh towards his son. Not inclined to give his son his favor, he enjoys putting Lucas through series of small tests to determine his level of worthiness to take the throne. He is disappointed to find Lucas to be a softhearted boy with a will easily bent by pity, suffering, and love. Though he tries to change these weaknesses, Lucas remains such as he grows up.

Though he is sensitive in that respect, physically and mentally he is a strong, confident young man. His good looks, charisma, and intellect earn him immediately a large circle of friends. Completely at ease with royal life, he excels at being honest and manipulative with people as is fit. His best friend is a noble studying magic and interested in alchemic arts named Cadfael. Cadfael is the son of a highly distinctive supporter of Lucas’s father, the King. Although he was brought up with the same ideals as Lucas, he is less inclined to be swayed by human emotions. Lucas is aware of the disappointment his father feels towards him, and as a dutiful son tries hard to live up to his sometimes unrealistic expectations.

Eventually, one of the king’s ‘tests’ goes too far. The king becomes angry when a mob captures his son and attempts to secure a ransom for him. He frees his son but also ‘tests’ his son by ordering him to survive in the city for a week.

Unfortunately, Lucas’s red hair marks his royal blood and makes him an obvious target of bias and hatred by the city people. Harassed both mentally and physically, he is finally rescued by an old woman named “Mother”. Mother is the head of a group of healers and puts him under the care of a young healer named Annette. Under Healer statute, she cannot refuse to heal any man in need, and thus is forced to in spite of lingering prejudices.

Eventually, the two fall in love. Lucas dedicates himself to improving the lives of the poor, and aims to do so when he inherits the throne. His change in ideal sets off large controversy and earns him dangerous enemies, including eventually his own father. Furthermore, whispers of scandal erupt as Lucas and Annette begin seeing each other outside palace walls. He is confronted by a series of assassination attempts and secret betrayals.

His story is about prejudice, class struggles, and forbidden love.
