Description This is my submission for page 06 of the Collective Fable project. It represents two hours of work in Photoshop CS2, and is my second digital drawing/painting ever. My wonderful wife was nice enough to troubleshoot the damn program for me, because it was giving me error messages and shutting down so much that technocide was looming on the horizon... I didn't have the patience for fixing it, I'm afraid.

At any rate, the Collective Fable group is putting together a story, one drawn a page at a time. *dashinvaine is the brains and initiator of the idea, and ~ArtemisBlue got the first chapter up and running. I was quite pleased to see the opportunity to draw one of my favorite looks for a female character: The "Am I Being Stalked?" look. Couldn't help myself...

Enjoy!

This is certainly an interesting turn in the story and is a possibly happy little lead-into what I want to draw, though I see that the story has been progressed since this...

I really love her expression, she's very beautiful! And I like the dark tones which I've become accustom to when it comes to your drawings. One thing I'd like to suggest is blending the background - the pencil like "scratches" of shading on the characters is really well done, but it'd really help for them to stand out out more if the background was blended and not fighting with the characters for attention.

The texturing on that wall is definitely rough, and blending might be just the thing, I agree. At this point I'm still just learning what certain buttons/brushes do in Photoshop--it'll be quite a while before I'm able to achieve digitally what I like to do traditionally, I'm afraid. Thanks for the suggestion, and I'm glad you like the page.

As far as you contributing, the whole idea of this group is for people to be able to submit successive pages and draw the storyline off in another direction at any point they wish. So, even if the storyline is on Page 10, you can submit an alternate Page 07 and see what contributions follow in it. Go For It!

Okay, now THAT would creep me out!

The drawing style looks more rough compared to your pencil drawings. On the other hand it gives the story a subtle nuance and makes it more discernable to your Demons Due work.

Yeah, it is definitely more rough. I'm still not certain (at two drawings) how to translate my style and techniques to the digital world. It'll take a little while, I think, which is why I'm doing some of them. Thanks for the encouragement!

Wow... wonderfully quick working of the subject and look.. bravo.
I want to contribute to this story, but man, suddenly I'm busy - one commission half-done (awaiting payment, at which point the client seems to have fled), one commission ready, another just asked for a 'amela' style series... OI!
All this, and Monsters and Maidens too....!

Thank you! Being busy is good, especially if you're an artist busy with art. Good luck on all fronts there; I hope we get to see some of these commissions!
