What a beautiful story of inspiration and good will. What a wonderful thing that the town came to aid your family. The picture is also adorable and evokative of a sense of yesteryear and like the pheonix that rose from the ashes you rose up again.

That's one hell of a story, and I laughed at the pig with the bandaid. Poor little bacon bit.

Wow! What a wonderful story about human kindness. Why has the world changed so, so much?
It is 8am in Australia at the moment. And I would like to say "Thank You" for starting my day in such a uplifting way

Then your cousins have it made. In Oklahoma the Indians are well taken care of. Free school, college, free sr rings, pictures, free health and dental insurance, also they get a free house are almost free. They even get free sports equipment and money for school clothes. That is if they have there scroll numbers which my family doesn't. It sucked. My great grandfather refused to get one and now it is to late.

yea I know and I know all too well about the scroll my Father hated that he was a Native and walked away from them before I was born. He joined the military and wrote white as race then when he married my Mom she asked his nationality and he said all american. If not for his side of the family I would not of known all I do about the tribe. He made my Mom put me as white when I was born as well.
Soooo I am not on scroll because of him.

Yea I know its a very sad situation like the ones u seen who u know are not able to afford it. They sit and play and play in hopes of hitting it big to escape their personal hell most likely playing with their food money or something.
Very sad. Most Indian reservations are so poor with ghetto conditions and the alcohol and drug abuse its just so sad to me
