It could be a juvenile specimen. Predators will go out if their way to weed out easy prey and I don't think Spinosaurus would want another barb stuck in its face after a run-in with a giant adult sawfish.

An adult Oncopristis, at 3 tons, is already small enough that Spino would definitely consider it more viable than, say, the local giant crocodiles.

I've not visited a museum in ages. I'd love to again, and admire the reconstructed fossils of these prehistoric titans!
