Biography: Alan was born a long time ago and only remembers three things about his past: he was born under a different name; his family as well as tribe were all normal human beings unable to do any kind of magic; he was one of best hunters his tribe ever had.

One day, during one of their hunts, he crossed paths with Hasswei himself. Seeing his great potential the god blessed him with a gift: better hearing, smelling, stamina and speed to help him finding and catching his prey more easily.

However, this gift came with a price...

From his neck upwards, Alan turned into a wolf. He grew fur on his shoulders, ellbows, down his spine and torso and on his calves.

In shock he ran back to his village, but his tribe wasn't all too happy about his changes. Even as he tried to explain he was blessed by Hasswei himself they were convinced it is some sort of dark magic and he will bring bad luck into their village.

The last thing he saw from his home were his crying mother and a mob of furious men chasing him with spears and torches.

In the beginning, it hurt and he was angry. Angry at Hasswei for doing this to him.

Some decades after he had to leave his family and tribe he met a powerful witch who needed some help; some bandits stole her most valuable item, an amulet. But she can't leave her hut unattended, as she fears others might use the chance to steal even more. Or far worse, someone needing her help comes to her and she is gone!

Promising her to get her amulet back he hunts down the bandits. It only took him a couple of days to find them and get the item back to the witch.

As reward she gave him two axes: one with a fire rune and the other with an ice rune on it. Before he left, she also told him to no longer linger in the past but to accept who he is now and do good in the world with his new abilities.

At first shocked how the witch knew what happened to him, he realized she was right. The gift cannot be returned and there is no changing back.

To start his new life, he gave himself a new name: Alan, the "Hunting Dog".

Since then he roams the lands of Prehistoria, offering his help to whoever needed it.

Later, when he found some company, a feisty Worg named Nero and a rather silent Saber called Jan, he found out he got another gift from Hasswei he never noticed: Alan can talk with animals he befriended!
