Description
If you know anything about me, you probably know that I like to make up OCs like, all the time. It would be a problem if I felt obliged to DO anything with them, other than draw them once and call it a day (sometimes not even that). Anyway, have some 1980s teenagers.
They come to you this time inspired my one of my various adventures on AI Dungeon - which I treat like a collaborative writing activity, where my partner happens to be an AI. It requires a lot of patience because the AI sometimes makes no sense and you have to "re-roll" its contributions, but when you're bored i can be amusing. I started with a teenager in the 80s, and from there it went into being in a band, having a girlfriend, hanging out with friends, doing a research project for school, celebrating her birthday, coming out, etc.
Anyway, here's the breakdown:
Sally Stilson is nicknamed "Stilts" because she's very tall for a 13-year-old. She's energetic and creative and dreams of becoming a rock star. She's the band's singer/songwriter and sometimes plays the keyboards. She lives with her parents, Peter and Helen, and her younger brother and sister Eric and Deb.
Yes, her band is also called The Stilts, and that's not confusing at all. If asked, she'll say that the only reason she can be so tall is her friends propping her up - hence why THEY are "The Stilts".
Jenny Coral is new in town and doesn't know anyone, but Sally befriends her. She lives with her single dad who works in a hospital. She's not in Sally's band (yet?) but does take violin lessons after school. She has the dual dream of studying and becoming a vet, and of getting good at the violin to give concerts. I really like Coral as a last name, for some reason. Anyway, she and Sally start dating.
David Least is Sally's oldest, most dependable friend. She often randomly shows up to hang out in his basement, and his mom doesn't mind. He used to have a crush on Sally and maybe still does. He plays the flute, which everyone agrees is a little unusual for a rock band, but he's really good and he's a cool dude to have around anyway.
Kyle Escobar is a kind of quiet and a huge nerd, always reading everything and super into movies. He's probably watched "Gremlins" like six times. Funny story, the AI was knowledgeable enough to put "Gremlins" in my 80s themed setting - but then proceeded to describe it as "It's about a guy who owns a tavern, and every year he has to sacrifice a person to Satan." Kyle plays the guitar.
Lara Duchamp is a girly girl who's super into fashion (pink) and boys. She's super nice and cheerful. Sally tried flirting with her many times in the past but that never worked. She plays the bass.
No drummer? No drummer. Maybe that could be a good story. Search for a drummer. Maybe David tries to learn the drums because he feels useless. Everybody learns a lesson and grow closer as friends.
Also I'm not gonna write it. Cameos in Flaky Pastry? Maybe one day!
