Description

This was done for CaptainBipto . These family-sized quarters on his Starbase are an adaptation of my Nova class refit officer and junior officer quarters.

Other Deep Space 15 interiors: Operations , Captain's Office , Conference Lounge

EDIT (05/06/2019): I added two more chairs to the dining room table so that there's enough seats for all six of the quarters' occupants. Thanks to Epe for pointing that out!

Modelled with SketchUp.
Based on and inspired by original designs from:

Thanks! That area wasn't actually meant as a hallway, but as a separate living area. But I can see now that it looks kind of like a hallway because of its relatively narrow shape. This piece is actually a meld of two other quarters of mine that I did for the Nova class. That area was the living area for those quarters and the two rooms below that belonged to the other piece. The person that commissioned this image requested that the two pieces be joined to form family quarters. I can imagine in a family setup that two living areas might be handy, but I definitely get your point of opening up tha space.

I suppose that would be ideal, if space allows for it.

Gotta ask. What did you use to make this?

I used SketchUp.

Going to try it.

It's really easy to use, especially for geometric shapes like rooms and buildings and it has a user interface that's easy to learn. Let me know how you find it!

Good to hear. It has its limits, but it's ease of use is a great plus.

Very nice job.
Love your work. Architecture and Schematics are always so fascinating and yours always have such great detail.

It just buggles me that if this is quarters for a family of six~ Why there's no dinner table for six?
Then again...I guess that additional 2 chairs could be added around the big round table.

Hmmm, you have a good point there. Perhaps I should change that... But you're right, two more chairs could easily be added.

Very Nice!  Seems like it would be ideal for a larger family of at least six.  I would hope by the 24th Century Humanity would no longer have such large families but keep it contained to no more than two children to a single couple.  Human beings seem to have no conscious awareness of the concerns of overpopulation.

Thanks.

I suppose there's a lot more space by the 24th century.
