This was a test for learning digital art, I'll probably do the drawing in pencil as well. The hair took forever to do the strands, and they're not even very visable. If anyone knows of a way to do hair that doesn't require doing each strand I'd love to know.

i love the bold shading! it really works for this picture adds intensity!
YOU DID EVERY STRAND... wow i barely have the patience to give my characters clothes! what i do for hair is make the shading represent the hair for example bright highlights for the hair facing light and dark were no light is reaching basically clump it together... but of course i'm lazy. what you do i know a ton of people who do the same, it can have a really cool effect! actually if you hadn't pointed it out i won't have noticed the detail in the hair. what you do works but make the strands pop, have their own individual thing but still a part of the big picture if you catch my drift lol. aww you didn't put a back ground.... buuuuut if you did what would it be?

This was a nightmare to do, I'm so glad I've worked out quicker ways of doing hair now. I'm kinda just doing shadows and highlights now, except i found that if you smudge them in the direction of the hair strands it kind of works, or at least works enough and is much faster than this way.
Hmm, I'm not sure. Maybe an alley? I was so sick of drawing this by the time I finished the hair I gave up on a background.
