The first one I made in this little fae series....yes she is very heavily inspired by Brian Froud, I just love how natural his fairies/spirits are, with a bit of Linda Ravenscroft thrown in as well I guess?

I guess this falls under a 3 colour challenge. after I drew her out I picked three watercolour tubes at random: Daler-Rowney's Green Gold and Shadow as well as Winsor & Newton's Perylene Violet.......and I'm so happy with the result, the colours turned out to be perfect for this. I really love how inhuman the green gold in her skin looks.

I think I'll keep picking from my strange colour selection for the rest of the fae, just pick at random a nearly red, an nearly blue and a nearly yellow and then I can get a good range of colours without having access to the whole colour wheel. I get more interesting results this way.

I can't currently find my reference photo, it's on the broken laptop, but when it get I get it back I'll like it here.
