When advertising something, maybe it's best to make it seem like you care about the person's art you're advertising your stuff on? It's just a thought. It's kind of a mask to put over the face of not giving a shit about the person's art, and just your page growing.

I don't do it to keep my page growing, I it show that the kind of art I'm interested in, the kind of stuff I like that I want to show people that like the same kind of stuff I do, which brings them back to the DA account. It's similar to browsing someone's favourites, but facebook is more my domain. I might not sound like I have a great emotional connection because I'm trying to come off as professional when I ask.

You can still sound professional if you add a few reasons as to why you like someone's art. Mostly if you want to feature it to something, I'm assuming, you don't ask permission to do so before you feature it. Also, if your social media is attached to said page it's still promoting yourself.

It's literally so people will get to understand the kind of art styles I appreciate more, and so the artist/ art piece will get more attention. I would understand why you're asking if I just grabbed a load of art and slathered it all over the page to get attention, but I don't add art to it that often, so no, it's not attention, and if I were to feature something, again, I would always ask permission. Always. You'll find that I do tend to discuss it further with most artists if they reply, and if not, then I respect they don't want it to be shared or they have no interest in it being shared. Sometimes I do put in more reasons why I enjoy the art I've chosen. This is just not one of those times. I suppose it is, in a way, still promoting myself, but all the same. Some reasons are more prominant than others. More to the point, I don't really share art on my page anymore, I tend to just do my own these days because I think people are more interested in getting to know me through what I can do, rather than what I like.

Well, I think of it like this; you walk into a person's bedroom, you look at the stuff on their walls, and if it's bands and prints and whatnot, then you get to know about that person's tastes. ^^ But anyway, I think we've chatted enough smack to each other. Shall we call it even?

That's the point of a conversation. It's supposed to go back and forth It's okay. A lot of people feel as if I'm "talking down" to them. It's the pain of being so forward with people.
