Looking back, Ukyou/Ryouga was probably the first "ship" I ever looked for in fanfics, way back in the day. It was so hinted at in the anime (and admit it: most of us picked up Ranma 1/2 from the anime and not the manga, at least back then) and seemed to just fit perfectly. Its still probably the second most popular pairing in the fandom.
