I'm only now trying to catch up with my DA notifications (all 800+ of them...) and didn't realize you posted this up here as well! That's so great and NEEDS MORE COMMENTS.
Giggling over this picture's become my morning routine. And I find it incredibly funny how Zuko's trying to impress Jee with his grownup-ness, like you said, because, in a way, he will be trying (and failing) to do just that in chapters 6/7

How are 6/7 coming along? I added at least 3000 words to the next chapter, woooo. Unfortunately, it's still all dialogue and there's a ton of filling-in work left. I always seem to write all my dialogue first and the rest later.

Jet is... complicated. I like him, but at the same time I don't. I do like what he brings to the series, especially as a contrast for Zuko. And Jetko, mmmm. I do love me some of that.

You can be post-canon Zuko, who has lovely long hair that his guard captain can run his fingers through and hold on to while... cough.
My feelings on Jetko are very ambivalent. On the one hand, hot. On the other hand, one of the participants annoys me to pieces.

Have I mentioned recently that I love the way your mind works? Picturing Jeeko with the new Zuko designs = new favourite pastime.
I think "Float" was the one that had me most conflicted and heartbroken, precisely because of Jet. He was so in-character that it hurt and I wanted to bash his head against something half the time.

I knooow. Everything gets twice as hot when you picture it with the new character design. Praying we'll see it in action in a Korra flashback or something.
Float was amazing. One of the few fics that didn't make me want to strangle Jet.
