This is a photo of a Sumatran Tiger that I took at The Wildlife Heritage Foundation Big Cat Sanctuary.A hidden gem of a shot that I only just discovered in my tiger folder. Can't believe I didn't notice it before. Not quite sure how this guy cut himself, he was the only tiger in the enclosure.

beautiful shot! May I ask where The Wildlife Heritage Foundation Big Cat Sanctuary is? I'm just really curious since I'm working at a Big Cat Shelter in Germany myself.

Depends how you define close I suppose. Most places I take my photos are about an hour or two away from where I live, so doable in a day but not what I would consider close. (But that's in England, I suppose in America things are further away, being a much bigger country and all.)

I really gotta visit this place somewhen. I've seen so many pics of wonderful cats from you, and I really want to meet them in person and see them myself. I think I'm gonna take you with me, so I can tell you which scenes to shoot ;3. But don't expect that anytime soon, I'm still learning and need to safe money for other things like a new car and a tiger tattoo over my shoulder. Yeah, I really love them.

Wow that's great! Especially since tigers are an endangered species already.. Times are hard for them kitties :/.
When I'm finished learning and earn a few more bucks, I'm definitely gonna buy a sponsorship for a tiger at WWF. Caring for them in a wildlife park is fine, but they're still exposed to the public. It's just not the right place for a tiger. So I want to help securing the natural environment of them.

No joke. Can't understand why people can't just leave the poor things alone. And yes, always so much better to protect them in the wild, best place for them by far.
