Beautiful. I love mythological creatures too. The only improvement I could suggest is to make the child's face brighter, as it is difficult to notice it first. Good work.

'Baku' sounds like the Japanese word for explosion. Hmm... he looks like a demonic elephant which can lure dreams into his mouth by sucking them with the smoke he produces from the mouth.
