Personality: He's standoff-ish and quiet. Sometimes he comes off as smug and a bit of a jerk (because he doesn't reply to people he doesn't care about/who are not his superiors). When he wants to talk, he's actually very pleasant and kind (except when he's ranting). He likes trying to make people feel better (even though he's very bad at it), he's funny without actually meaning to be, he can be extremely serious when he has to be, and sometimes he can even be pretty cute. But other than those few times of humanity, he's comes off as emotional as a rock.

History: Caleb was the son of a war hero, and he always looked up to him. His father was the reason he got into guns at the age of 5 (of course, he never shot them).

As he grew up, he learned all the basics of handling a gun and CQC maneuvers from his father. His father had also warned him about the Spades, and the horrible things that they did to people. Caleb's mother was killed by one shortly after he was born, and his father didn't want him getting involved in the organization in any way. Caleb promised that he would never get involved. He wouldn't even think of them.

Shortly afterwards, he got into the habit of carrying his father's guns around in his holster jacket.

When he got into high school, he met a girl named Licida, and soon he started going out with her. Life was sweet~

But then, at the beginning of senor year, his father died. Not of anything tragic, just old age, but it was still hard for Caleb to see his dad go. Throughout the whole grieving process, Licida helped him and comforted him. Caleb honestly wanted nothing more than to marry her because she was pretty much the best thing that ever happened to him.

A few days after their graduation, he decided to give her a promise ring, hopping that she would accept a real engagement ring someday. After he got the ring, he headed to her house. As he walked up to the door, he got a horrible feeling in his stomach. He tried knocking the door, but no one answered, so he used his extra key to get in. When he entered, he knew something was wrong. Licida was always singing something in the back room, and you could hear her through the whole house. Panicked, he ran to the back room, hopping she was there and just taking a nap.

When he entered, the room was covered in blood and the bodies of Licida's mom and dad were on the ground. And in the middle of it all, with out a scratch on her, Licida.

Without giving him the time to react, she lunged at him, grabbing his arms and trying to bite him (apparently). He was tussling with her, trying to get her to snap out of whatever she was in, when he noticed her eyes. One wasn't its usual color of light green. It was blood red.

He remembered all that his father told him, about the Spades. The signs were obvious. He even remembered when Licida had shown him her barcode tattoo on her lower back, boasting that it was probably the coolest thing ever, but she didn't remember where or when she got it.

Licida was a Spade. And obviously, a pretty bad one, if she was trying to bite him. Why was she even attacking him? Was she malfunctioning? Did someone really want him dead?

Those little things didn't exactly matter, at the moment.

That's when his instincts kicked in. Caleb head-butted her, kicked her in the stomach, and as she was reeling and starting to come back towards him, he took out his father's gun and shot.

And he felt the silence.

Devastated and terrified does not come close to what he felt as he stared at the body of the girl he always wanted to be his. But he didn't cry. He simply shut down. All emotions, tucked away in the back of his mind. Without her, he didn't really need them. As he left the house, he threw the promise ring in the bushes, and never looked back. About a month later, he found out about the Clubs and what they do. He wishes to join the Clubs so that he can stop Spades from ruining other peoples lives like his was, and maybe find out why Licida attacked him. He swears to take down the organization that gave him all he ever wanted without giving it to him at all.

(yeah. long, crappy story. i know. don't remind me >o> lol at least it says what happens XD I don't hate you if you don't read it. just the last part sums it up lol)

Accessories: His father's old holster jacket, this Jacket jacket lol (not shown on him in the pic cuz I felt like drawing what was underneath. btw, it has a little Club zipper on it), and his glasses. His eye sight is actually pretty good. It's just a memorabilia of before the whole Licida thing happened. He still wears them sometimes. (not shown on him in the pic cuz I wanted to show off his pretty violet eyes~)

Additional Info:
1. He used to do karaoke with his GF. He's a pretty good singer. (Here's an example~ [link] )
2. He has the habit of wearing his holster jacket at all times. He even keeps a gun by his bed just incase of... something. He's not even paranoid, he just likes having them around lol
3. He's always reading mystery novels.
4. He doesn't like his last name. He says putting "Like the heart" and "pain" together is just a weird combination. But then he goes on to himself about how Caleb can also mean "rage of a dog," so it would fit well with a word that sounds like you're saying pain. Then he keeps mumbling about how his name means dog, and that's where I shut off. Basically, he REALLY doesn't like his name.
5. He mumbles to himself when he thinks; aloud or not.
6. He has a deep voice.
7. Because of his father's influence and teaching, he's able to use pretty much any kind of gun. It's just easier to use the pistols, and they're guns that his dad used.
8. He ALWAYS wears dress pants (or pants that look like dress pants), a black turtleneck, and a white loose top. Don't ask. He just does. If you see him wearing something else, HE MUST SERIOUSLY TRUST YOU. or you just have good timing.
10. He's not entirely sure on his preference anymore. (and you know what I mean by "preference") He just kinda goes along with what feels right, I guess >o>
11. He takes alcohol very well. He really doesn't get drunk too easily. He says that he has to be in the mood to be drunk.
12. He pats a lot. Like pats people's backs, and their heads, and... well... yeah. he just pats a lot.
13. He's a mix of Irish and British, and he has a british accent sometimes (he goes in and out of an american accent and a british accent).
14. When he likes something, he doesn't really realize the consequences of liking it until afterwards/it's too late.
15. He has a soft spot for women in danger.
16. He smokes. Not a lot, but sometimes he just needs the nicotine >w>
17. He has scars on his neck from the first with his GF. I didn't mention it in the story cuz he didn't even feel that he was bleeding till about a day afterwards >o>
